The C Shop Reviews
This spot is only open during the summer, and then very select times after that. I wish it was open all the time, because their selection and service is just so awesome. Usually there is a line, but it's very organized. You go past the candy and home made treats, next to the popcorn and other treats, to the ice cream, and then after that, you pay. It's hard to come in for just ice cream without leaving with a few other things. We go every summer.
We were staying in Birch Bay for a week. I went out for a walk one morning and by chance met the owners of the C Shop Candy Shop, Pat and Patricia. We had a nice chat. When Patricia told me they were the owners of the C Shop, she suggested we drop by the candy store. They were open that day. Of course we couldn't go to a candy shop without buying something. The C Shop sells ice cream, popcorn (buttered or cheesy), baked goods, and the most scrumptious candy, especially chocolate. And the people who run it are super nice, too. They make their own chocolate and sweets. You can get prepackaged candy (for example, jelly beans or salt water taffy, etc.), or make a bag of your favorite flavors. There are some tables where you can sit outside. Really good place to stop for some ice cream or sweet treats on a trip to the beach.
