Enjoyed fish tacos here for dinner. The tacos were as expected, not amazing but not disappointing either. The honey brown cake I had for dessert was incredible! Perfectly buttery, slightly crisp on the outside, sticky warm sweetness on the inside- the flavor reminds me of madeleine cookies, but way better! I usually prefer chocolate desserts, but I’m glad I made an exception to have this.Server was attentive and friendly.

S.....L.....O.....W Service. (party of 4)Extremely disappointed in my visit last night. Showed up at 5:30, restaurant hardly full, placed drink orders then food. All orders were in by 5:45. The restaurant started filling up time passed.... It it now 6:30 and I ask what the hold up is, the server says he will check on it as we see tables that arrived after us getting food. Fifteen more minutes pass and our food arrives at 6:48.Sadly, the bowl of chili that arrived was COLD. No exaggeration, cold, like fresh out of the fridge, not a speck of heat in that bowl. Flagged down the wn the server and asked how hard it would be to get a bowl of hot chili, he took the bowl, 7 minutes later someone else brought us a freshly microwaved bowl. Now, we had a show to get to a 7:30, so basically we all had to inhale as much as we could before leaving roughly 25 min after we got our food.Unacceptable wait time. Unacceptable service.

This is my go-to local restaurant! I've tried 80% of their menu items, and they make changes every 2 months or so from what I could tell. The menu is outstanding. The Elk Burger is a great choice. A personal favorite is the Honey Brown Cake. Pictured is the latest addition of the Truffle Prime Rib.Typically, there will be a seasonal or special drink menu, which most people can find a drink they'll like off of it. They have 20 beers on tap at a time and a large bar to accommodate anyone's needs.Vegetarian options: Limited options, but high quality.Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs are indoors to a separate lower part of the restaurant. However, a door is available on the exterior accessible from the sidewalk.

We are visiting Bremerton from Seattle and have been going to a ton of places. We went here on a Saturday evening and the posted hours said they would be closing at 10pm, we arrived at 7:45 and saw one other table occupied. There was a sign on the door that said “NO DRAFT BEER” which was very disappointing but not a dealbreaker. Instead our group got cocktails; Moscow mule, whiskey ginger, and a New York Sour. All three were not good; weird ingredients and poor measurements made them taste watered down and slightly off. For example, the Moscow mule tasted like ginger ale instead of ginger beer. Wouldn’t have been a big deal if they mentioned it but I would have liked a heads up. Around 8:20-8:30 we were told it was time for last call for drinks and how we wanted to split our check. The music ended, the couple that just walked in were told no, and it just felt awkward for it saying it was suppose to close at 10pm. Or group left and ultimately went to horse and cow a block or two away. I’ve heard good things about this place but the service, decor, and vibe made me not want to come back.

This place only offers one vegetarian/vegan option, and it is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever ate. I’ve been here multiple times as I have other family members that enjoy their non-vegetarian options, although as a vegetarian it is disheartening to have only one option. It is the grossest fake “chicken” burger that is unseasoned, under cooked garbage. Even worse than their previous option, a vegetarian homemade veggie burger that was mushy and completely fell apart. Do not go here is vegetarian!!

Made reservations for Christmas Eve and they didn't open. Lots of people waiting outside. Horrible experience. I'll never go back.

Made reservations at Axe and Arrow Gastropub for dinner this evening at 530, they open at 5, the restaurant is closed and we are not the only group of people standing around outside with reservations to a CLOSED restaurant! We even called on Friday to confirm! This is absolutely disgusting business practice. To add insult to injury, the GM is the one who told us to make reservations there in the first place when I asked a local Facebook group, so take that information as you will.

My prime rib dip was delicious but the showstopper was the HONEY BROWN CAKE with creamy vanilla ice cream and chocolate and caramel sauce! This is a must try (and go back and try it again). Tanner was our server - he was super nice and super efficient, funny and attentive (and Seahawks were on) it was a perfect date night!

Good spot for drinks and a bite in downtown Bremerton. They offer a hearty, inviting pub atmosphere that's perfect for a cool Northwest night. The bartender was friendly and made a tasty Sazerac. The wagyu burger was juicy and delicious. They had a good selection of brews and cocktails, and few TVs for watching a game.

"Wanted to close early" we came in an hour before the closing time and that's what we were told. It didn't make us feel like they wanted the business. The server took our orders brought our food and we didn't see him again until he brought our bill.

I wish this place had earlier hours (lunch) like it used to because the food here is great, but unfortunately I leave Bremerton in the evenings. Axe & Arrow has delicious food and I'd recommend giving it a try. Great atmosphere too!

Axe & Arrow should be renamed The Frat House. My husband and I love the food here, on a normal basis, we love the restaurant. The last two visits since August 2023, it is getting horrible. We waited one hour for a single glass of beer and an order of coconut shrimp appetizer. We were prepared to eat dinner, but we didn't feel like waiting another hour. There was a family of 4 seated near us, two young children, they waited longer then we did.HOWEVER, two long tables of men mainly just ordering drinks were catered to all during this wait!! Absolutely infuriating!!! This is the second time this has happened to us. They only had two wait staff. One being the owner it looked like. Only two people working in the kitchen. This was a Thursday night at 6:30. My husband and I left by 7:30 pm. They were closing by 8pm.I am so disappointed. We seriously used to love this place. Now it is just a "boys club" . We really wanted to pick up food from burger King and bring it back to the poor family who waited so long for food.Apologies for slow service because of an event doesn't cover the real issue. The management should hire more people and pay a livable wage.Quit cutting the service for profit. You won't have customers if you don't have good service.
