Service is friendly, staff is very accommodating and attentive to dietary preferences, so it's a good place to eat if you're vegan or vegetarian. I'm usually disappointed by the tofu in vegan dishes elsewhere, but they do it right. They also have Korean snacks for sale at the counter, as well as a fridge of pre-made kimchi!”

“This is a review for the LIGHTHOUSE COFFEE thats at this location. As someone who was a barista for 8+ years, this coffee was amazingly crafted and so yummy. “Had to edit my review cause they have completely flipped my experience from really frustrating to very pleasant.

I received a coupon in the mail, and used it through the app with the promo code attached. Upon receiving my receipt at the store I found out the discount wasn't applied.

The manager informed me he would apply it, but the charge posted in full on my account a couple days later.

After submitting feedback about my frustrations here, Dalton reached out was super kind and understanding and was able to resolve it hassle free. I have learned that the website is having issues with coupons for the time being, so just a small heads up for anyone else. The pizza is extremely good however.”

“We got the "supreme" pizza - pepperoni, salami, sausage, mushrooms and onions. Also had a Ceasar salad. Their Ceasar dressing is to die for. It's absolutely delicious, fresh lettuce, it was great! The pizza was SO good, super cheesy, right amount of toppings, sauce was on point and the crust was cooked perfectly. A very family friendly atmosphere with fantastic, friendly and fast service. Highly recommend.”

Got two orders of the banana bread French toast and it was incredible. Sunday is always our takeout breakfast day and my daughter said “this is the best thing the little pancake house has ever made” (normally gets pancakes from next door) I told her where it came from and she now has a new favorite breakfast spot.”

Some were okay, most were just "EH" but from the get go, Bryan and his little drive up shop have done nothing but stellar service with an equally stellar product. He's knowledgeable, willing to learn new things, and absolutely knows my order before I arrive. But today, I tried something different and have never been so pleased! Bryan, the brown sugar cinnamon decaf was my next favorite!! Thanks!!!”

When the man at the door was checking IDs, we mentioned we’d never been in and he gave us his food recommendations. We took him up on that and ordered the wings! They are SO insanely good (and HUGE!!). Each sauce we got was remarkable. So much flavor. The bartender was very nice and friendly and welcoming. The whole vibe of the place was really cool. “We had a social gathering here after our conference ine day. I wasn't sure which beer to get. I said what I liked compared to other beers out there. The bartender gave me 3 different samples to try and made my choice from there. You can also leave a tab open. In the back outside there is a food trailer where you can get decent Mexican food at a price. The bar also has bar food you can get.”

“I eat smaller portions. I don't like paying for a large meal and taking over half of it home. NEVER have I been denied purchasing a kids meal at any restaurant. But they did. How do they know it isn't for my kid? I do have a lot of those too. Literally they said...."it's how we keep the costs down." Keep the costs down?? To add a small grilled chicken breast to a small side salad it was going be an additional $5.50. Side salad is about $7.50. So nearly $15 for side salad. Then recommended gut bomb after gut bomb. lame. Bleh. just frustrated. I would have ordered the kids meal and a shake so they still would have made money. Instead I ordered nothing. I drank some water, sat in a booth with friends, and will eat at home.”

It might be a cliche to say a business feels like home, but Hot Java Cafe fits the bill and then some. I started visiting regularly while working on a writing project, and everyone on the staff - Didi, Clover, Alisha and Lilly, and Rylee - are not just kind and welcoming, but they craft incredible food and drinks.
Hot Java is the kind of place that knows you by name and remembers your usual, with a genuine smile. Every customer is treated as a human first, and is well taken care of from the moment the door chime sounds as you set foot inside. The space feels like an extension of your living room, carefully designed and comfortable; a place made to linger in.
And the fare! Biscuits and gravy are a favorite for me; the right combination of savory and peppery. The coffee specials are consistently inventive and enjoyable; a recent bourbon caramel latte perfectly balanced sweet and smoky, and was served in a Jack of All Trades ceramic mug while I wrote. A small touch that isn't small. Nor is the staff's willingness to adjust the menu to suit one's request.
Hot Java is a shining example of a small business doing things in the right way: making a difference to the community, one person and one coffee at a time.
Absolutely worth the trip to Bremerton to meet these fine folks, and partake of the delicious offerings and calm, inviting atmosphere. You may just discover your new favorite spot.”

We were seated by the sweetest hostess and taken to our table right by the water. We were quickly greeted by our server, Jerri. She couldn’t have been more helpful and personable. She explained the specials and gave us her recommendations. We ordered the Parmesan baked mushrooms-yum! We shared the crab cobb and scallops which were both delicious! For dessert we shared the blackberry crisp. Each bite was excellent and we were so pleased with our dinner. Ok, we downloaded yet a other app and ordered our food which did NOT save us any money. We waited a few minutes and no sign of the food. I checked the app and there didn't seem to be any way to tell if the food was ready or not so I went and asked. The person behind the counter said you need to tell us your here before we make the order. What is the point of telling us to use the app if i still need to tell you I'm here. Oh well, didn't make a fuss about it but was kind of irritated. The food comes out and the fries are rubbery and the fried cheese is burnt. I was even more irritated until I took a bite of my chicken sandwich. Then everything became OK again. I did not like ordering from the app and will not do that again.”

This place has been around since 1961 and offers quick and affordable walk-up diner foods. Hamburgers, Hotdogs, fries, milkshakes. For a large family, this place comes in clutch. Try the 6 cheeseburgers for less then $10 and a family size portion of fries with toppings for less then $6.

Space is limited to park, and not much to the location, but worth the trip for sure!”

Despite the sign on the door displaying their hours as being open, the lights were on, the place was empty, and the doors were still locked. We left and decided to take a chance going to the family pancake house just up the street. Though it seemed early to me on a Saturday morning (9:15 am) the place was buzzing, there were bright eyes, smiling faces, and tables filling with people of all ages from small children to seniors. There was no wait, as the seating is plenty. Our server was a familiar, friendly face and we felt welcome to be there. The menu had many delicious options and was accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Everything about this place made me love Port Orchard that much more. And instead of leaving a poor review for the other restaurant, I felt compelled to leave a raving one here instead!”

“I usually do mobile orders in the drive through, and from my experience this location has always been fast, friendly, and almost never makes any mistakes with the order.

Even when I have edits and an order that’s around 30 dollars it still comes out relatively fast. All the employees are friendly to me, never had any negative experiences, always at least decent. The biggest mistake they ever made was forgetting sauce that cost nothing and wasn’t really needed, or missing a fork which also wasn’t needed.

tldr: Couldn’t ask for much more to make my experience better, always makes my day better when I come here.”

Ive tried all the coffee places in downtown area all the way up to kitsap way. The only place I dont walk away with the regret of my purchase is Hemlock Grove. Coffee is the best the service is even better!!”
