Square Pegs Autistic Adult Meetups needed a place for meetings and I was hopeful that Ashley would be willing to discuss the possibility. She went so far beyond that - she was immediately responsive in the affirmative, scheduled a time to chat quickly, and graciously let us use the space without so much as a charge or minimum drink orders. “Excellent, reasonably priced mexican restaurant. We have been unable to find a good mexican restaurant in Port Townsend. So glad we finally found Los Cabos in Bremerton. The places near us, just don’t compare. Loved the food, service was fast, friendly and efficient, and prices were reasonable. What more can you ask for?!“

“This is the best Mexican food in the area, full-stop. I’m from Arizona, so maybe it’s a certain style or regional flavor that I’ve spent the last five years searching for - this place nails it. I feel like I’m a kid at abuelita’s house all over again.

I’m working my way through their whole menu slowly, but so far: Tacos de cabeza, sopes, tacos de adobada, tamales, rice, beans, jalapenos. They’ve all been superior items. Pair with a glass bottle Coke from Mexico and you’re in for a treat.

Do yourself a favor, show up, trust the menu, ask questions and recommendations if you need it. The people are wonderful. This is the spot and you won’t convince me otherwise.

They even do some marinated meats and salsas to go for your very own carne asada at home!“

Everyone absolutely loved the cornbread - it was still FANTASTIC two days later (we had way too much food lol), the brisket was falling apart as we picked it up to put on our plates, the mac and cheese was EXACTLY what I needed, and the baked beans disappeared so fast. I’ve always loved this restaurant and knew I wanted their amazing food at my wedding and they did NOT disappoint. Thank you for helping to make my day even better.“

“I went to a retirement party here recently and got a chance to sample a couple of their beers. I'm a big fan of Silver City's scotch ale, so I had a pint of their version and it was fabulous - new favorite! I was also intrigued by a beer they had with szechuan peppercorns, so I tried a sample. It was also excellent. I found their selection to be full of interesting flavor profiles and not just 200 versions of an IPA. It's a great space as well, and the kids that were there were all over the pinball machines. No issues bringing in food (5 stars for the retiree food planner!), and there was a great smelling food truck outside right next to the beer garden. The view is basically of Fred Meyer, but this is a great oasis in East Bremerton.“

The coffee at hemlock is no doubt the best cup of coffee in the downtown area and as somebody who is extremely picky about their coffee. Ive tried all the coffee places in downtown area all the way up to kitsap way. The only place I dont walk away with the regret of my purchase is Hemlock Grove. Coffee is the best the service is even better!!“

“We lived in Bremerton for 30 years and this place was a reliable staple. We moved away a few years ago and thought it had shut down. So glad to hear it's reopened and as good as ever. Can't wait to return.“

“The food was great! Bartenders amazing! However we were sitting at the bar, had been there all night. Security came up and told us they were taking our chairs because it was getting busy. When I asked where do we go, the answer from security person “ohh you can stay here but you have to stand. It’s too busy to sit here.” Was a great night, turned into not so great. It was like being asked to leave. We were drinking so it wasn’t like we were just sitting there doing nothing not paying. ?‍♀️“

“We got the "supreme" pizza - pepperoni, salami, sausage, mushrooms and onions. Also had a Ceasar salad. Their Ceasar dressing is to die for. It's absolutely delicious, fresh lettuce, it was great! The pizza was SO good, super cheesy, right amount of toppings, sauce was on point and the crust was cooked perfectly. A very family friendly atmosphere with fantastic, friendly and fast service. Highly recommend.“
