“I have been a Starbucks decaf white chocolate mocha for YEARS because in Houston, that was the best option for a LOT of years and I didn't know better moving to Washington, my native Washatonian husband refused to let me keep that status quo. Enter the little drive up coffee shops everywhere. Some were okay, most were just "EH" but from the get go, Bryan and his little drive up shop have done nothing but stellar service with an equally stellar product. He's knowledgeable, willing to learn new things, and absolutely knows my order before I arrive. But today, I tried something different and have never been so pleased! Bryan, the brown sugar cinnamon decaf was my next favorite!! Thanks!!!“

“I go here just about weekly when I am working in the area. Its a great drive thru place. Sadly, they don't have seating area but I like to think, that just translates into less expensive prices on the very delicious Musubi. They close early -- Like 2pm or earlier if they sell out.“

This place is warm and welcoming and has become a fixture of this busy corner of the world. The retro-pub vibe is a nice break from the ”we are the newest, come in here” cafes in the area. And the menu and selection of tasty treats is extensive and spot on. A mellow break from the real world.“

It might be a cliche to say a business feels like home, but Hot Java Cafe fits the bill and then some. I started visiting regularly while working on a writing project, and everyone on the staff - Didi, Clover, Alisha and Lilly, and Rylee - are not just kind and welcoming, but they craft incredible food and drinks.
Hot Java is the kind of place that knows you by name and remembers your usual, with a genuine smile. Every customer is treated as a human first, and is well taken care of from the moment the door chime sounds as you set foot inside. The space feels like an extension of your living room, carefully designed and comfortable; a place made to linger in.
And the fare! Biscuits and gravy are a favorite for me; the right combination of savory and peppery. The coffee specials are consistently inventive and enjoyable; a recent bourbon caramel latte perfectly balanced sweet and smoky, and was served in a Jack of All Trades ceramic mug while I wrote. A small touch that isn't small. Nor is the staff's willingness to adjust the menu to suit one's request.
Hot Java is a shining example of a small business doing things in the right way: making a difference to the community, one person and one coffee at a time.
Absolutely worth the trip to Bremerton to meet these fine folks, and partake of the delicious offerings and calm, inviting atmosphere. You may just discover your new favorite spot.“

“Best coffee stand I’ve ever had hands down. This is me and my fiancés favorite coffee stand to go to. They use quality beans and you can absolutely tell by the taste of their espresso and they use white chocolate powder instead of syrup, iykyk. Not only is their coffee great the staff is so friendly and kind. Energy drinks are great as well if that’s your vibe and if you’re feeling hungry I recommend a cheddar bagel with pesto or jalapeño cream cheese, soooo good.“

The coffee at hemlock is no doubt the best cup of coffee in the downtown area and as somebody who is extremely picky about their coffee. Ive tried all the coffee places in downtown area all the way up to kitsap way. The only place I dont walk away with the regret of my purchase is Hemlock Grove. Coffee is the best the service is even better!!“

“This is the only Starbucks that I will go to, but that is due to convenience and honestly it's not all that often that I am able to treat myself. But, they do magnificent... nay, stellar work of making the coffee that comes from Starbucks taste NOT burnt (which is an achievement unto itself).
