Small amount of seating inside and out. Highly recommend their Sausage Mushroom Pithivier as well as the Green Chili Artichoke Croissant. The real treat was the Persimmon Ginger Latte.

Tried the Jackfruit Latte & the Iced Coco Phin Latte. Jackfruit latte was good and I enjoyed the fun flavor. Iced Coco Phin latte was just okay.

The interaction with the employee was odd. I just wanted extra ice, which I often request at cafes with no issue. They explained I ordered an 8 oz Jackfruit latte which is why it looks like “less”, which I replied respectfully that I know, I just like extra ice lol. She again told me what I ordered (I KNOW I ordered 8 oz, I get it; I wasn’t asking for more coffee) and she pointed out where the drink stopped at 8 oz line and looked at me like I had three heads. She put 3 pieces of ice, stared at me, and then finally put more. I said thank you but I don’t think she said anything back. Let a girl have some ice in the summer, dang 😅“

“Ive come here a few times and every single time it was such a positive experience! The baristas are so nice and even after not coming for (at least) a month- I was still recognized! Next level customer service for sure and dont even get me started on the drink quality! Before I’ve always gotten their chai (9/10) but today tried their “Dream” latte and I would have never guessed it was this good— The caramel on top is REAL caramel rather than just artificial stuff and it was the perfect level of sweetness while still tasting the coffee!“

Everything felt very balanced and nothing was overly sweet, and that includes the cream filled horn and the blueberry pastry with caramel underneath.

“I love this coffee stand, I’ve probably been here 100 times and I get the same thing every time. Their mocha game is always on point! As a sidenote, I love going to establishments where you can tell the employees enjoy their jobs and are pleasant to be around. I bet the owners are good employers too based on how great the baristas are!“

It seemed like a great location for kids yet also a great location for anyone who needed some time on their laptops for business or school! Majority of the people were there for school or business on their laptops but didn't seem to notice the extra noise from our kids Because they had such nice background music playing“

“If you're in the mood for an exceptional cup of coffee, breakfast burrito, sandwich, or pastry, you'll kick yourself if you don't stop at The Birdhouse.

As a lifelong Seattlelite, I am pretty darned picky when it comes to coffee. Birdhouse has the most wonderfully smooth cold brew, housemade syrups (their cardamom brown sugar is a delight), and fun rotating seasonal drinks that are nothing short of fabulous.

It doesn't stop at their coffe, though. Their food is phenomenal- and I mean like, truly, truly phenomenal. I don't know how they do it so dang fast, perfectly prepared every time.

I would be remiss not to add that their customer service is exceptional. I always walk away from the pickup window in a better mood than I arrived! Everyone I've interacted with in my nearly weekly visit over the past couple years has been kind and welcoming. Birdhouse was actually a spot I visited while browsing homes, and my experience made me decide that West Seattle was the place I wanted to put down roots. :)

“Bought a bag of Morning Sun whole beans. Package says it's a darker roast. Darker than what? Water? We tried it three mornings in a row. With no other whole beans in the house, I had to switch to instant coffee. Morning Sun is NOT a dark roast. Sorry to say I was very disappointed.“

“This cafe is super convenient you are a Transit user. Just one block down and to the left of the Renton Transit center! Inside is bright and open with tall ceilings and walls of windows. The doorway features double doors, the aisles are wide, and the tables are low. Making it a great option for disabled patrons! I ordered a chai with espresso, a blueberry banana muffin, and a dill scone. I spent about 21.96 with tip. The chsi was fantastic with great fluffy foam. I enjoyed the bite of spice and cinnamon notes. The muffin was sweet without rotting my teeth and the dill scone was crumbly without the desert mouth you'd get from a popeyes biscuit. Overall a great spot for commuters, students,families, or if you want to stop in and then wander the markets I highly recommend!“

“Visited on a Sunday afternoon after a friend recommended this local spot in Burien.
We tried the bacon sandwich, $13 from the breakfast menu, and the Cuban melt $15 from the lunch menu.

While the café itself has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. The bacon sandwich felt a bit too small for the price, and the Cuban melt could have been much better if they had added some Dijon mustard to balance the richness of the mayo—it would have brought out the true flavor of a Cuban sandwich.

Staff were kind, and the space has a neighborhood charm, so I’d be open to coming back to try their pastries or coffee.“
