“Casa Luna is one of Poulsbo’s hidden gems. The food is excellent/fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The chicken mole, chile relleno, tacos, and burritos are all outstanding, with generous portions and great attention to quality.

Juana, the owner, is warm, welcoming, and clearly takes great pride in the restaurant and the food she serves. Her hospitality makes the experience feel personal and special.

Something many people may not realize is that Casa Luna has a private back room available for larger parties and group gatherings. It is a wonderful option for birthdays, celebrations, business meals, and family events, and it offers a more private dining experience that many people may not know is available.

Tucked away just off Front Street, Casa Luna feels like a hidden treasure, but the excellent food, friendly service, and personal touch from Juana make it a place worth seeking out and returning to.”

“We had our son’s rehearsal dinner here and the service was excellent! Drinks and appetizers in the garden and dinner inside. It was a wonderful event and everyone had a great time. Many said they would return at some time for dinner. We planned this out of state and Lynn answered all of are questions quickly. We could not have had this type of personalized service in a typical restaurant.”

“The fish was very good. We didnt like the hush puppies-- it was more like a big cake very well over fried and they were $11.00. We tried to flag down our waitress to complain, but she never came onto the back balcony. We should have gone to the bar tender as he told us if we needed refills to tell him. We prepaid-- so we just took it as a lesson learned.”

“My in-laws had ordered a krumsekake (Norwegian wedding cake) for their 50th anniversary, and I was charged with picking it up. During transport it fell against the side of the box and the frosting was ruined. I panicked and called them to see if there was anything they could do to help me… they completely saved the day, fixed the frosting, and it looked perfect for the party!!! Best. Bakery. Ever.”

“Very cozy meal and even though there isn't supposed to be a service, the way we were treated and, in a way, serviced was very loving.

Fyi, this is at a gas station and there are only 2 modest tables with 4 chairs each.

We decided to eat in just to try it out and the vibe was so laid back and chill. Beats any pretention that typical restaurants innately have.

I felt as if I was back in college eating sharing a meal after finishing our duties. Just very homie and cozy. How? if it was at a gas station, I don't know but I loved it and would keep this place in mind whenever I want to go for a suuuper laid back, grounding outing with my loving ad loved lady.

“Took an elderly friend of mine; we both had never has poke before! It was great! She was pretty skeptical at first. But we both loved our bowls. Options for cooked seafood or tofu if you don't want raw. But it was all excellent and the owners / staff we'e super friendly and helpful. Thought it was a little spendy at 13 bucks a bowl, but for Poulsbo that's actually not! And worth it anyways! Super healthy, super yummy and did not leave us feeling like we would if we'd had burgers and fries for lunch ✔️✔️”

I stopped in and ordered the creamy beet and apple soup and listen, this is not a “beets are controversial” situation. This is silky, slightly sweet, perfectly balanced, soul-warming goodness. Earthy without tasting like you’re hugging a root cellar. The apple brightens it up just enough, and the creaminess ties it all together like a cozy scarf you didn’t know you needed. Add the fresh bread and butter on the side and suddenly I’m rethinking all my life choices that didn’t involve this soup sooner.

And then there was my favorite companion: a matcha oat milk latte with orange zest. Clean, smooth matcha flavor, creamy oat milk, and that little citrus pop from the orange zest? Chef’s kiss. It’s the kind of drink that makes you pause mid-sip and stare thoughtfully out a window like you’re in an indie film set in the Pacific Northwest. ☕🍊

Everything about this meal felt intentional, comforting, and quietly elevated. No fuss. Just really good food made with care. If you’re in Poulsbo and want something that feels nourishing and indulgent without being heavy: this is your spot.

After speaking to gal who owns it, found out they make their own dough everyday, also make their own marinara and grate their own cheese!! This is a huge deal if you’re a foodie!! “I’ve been going through their drive-thru consistently for the past three years. I have only experienced friendly service, and it’s been quick. Not immediate, which has indicated it was made while I was waiting. Everything has been piping-hot. I love the mulitas; I always get a trio of carnitas, carne asada, and adobado, and can’t say which is my favorite; they are all delicious. Their quesadillas also beckon regularly, though they are on the oily side, so I consider them a guilty treat. My sister always orders and enjoys the fish tacos. We both love their salsa verde. Breakfast burritos are tasty and satisfying. I rate 5 out of 5 based on what kind of establishment it is. I’m not comparing them to every other Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to, but they are doing great for what they are.”

“I visited daily, the Starbucks by my home so l got very familiar with staff and products. They went thru staff more frequently the past 2 years than all of the 18 years before that. It caused my opinions to change slightly as staff coming onboard were not as well trained and have an attitude that we were there for them, vs what l was taught in Customer Service, that staff was there for the customer. Still, the did and drinks were great 90% of the time. I am not fond of the changes to the Chai Latte recipe. I have to make them alter it so much that there's more room to slip up. Still, l continue to support Starbucks and probably will till l die!”
