“My in-laws had ordered a krumsekake (Norwegian wedding cake) for their 50th anniversary, and I was charged with picking it up. During transport it fell against the side of the box and the frosting was ruined. I panicked and called them to see if there was anything they could do to help me… they completely saved the day, fixed the frosting, and it looked perfect for the party!!! Best. Bakery. Ever.”

Most anyone can fix mashed potatoes. Not everyone can do it like The Saucy Sailor. Same with every dish I've tried. It's something way different than any fast food or pub fare. I recommend it. Fyi, this is at a gas station and there are only 2 modest tables with 4 chairs each.

We decided to eat in just to try it out and the vibe was so laid back and chill. Beats any pretention that typical restaurants innately have.

I felt as if I was back in college eating sharing a meal after finishing our duties. Just very homie and cozy. How? if it was at a gas station, I don't know but I loved it and would keep this place in mind whenever I want to go for a suuuper laid back, grounding outing with my loving ad loved lady.
