26 Best Japanese Restaurants near Bremerton

“The food is very good, staff is very friendly and efficient! Highly recommend“

“I’ve been to Happy Teriyaki & Sushi in Bremerton many times, and the food has consistently been amazing. I’ve tried quite a few different things on the menu, and honestly, almost everything I’ve ordered has been really good. The portions are good, the food is flavorful, and it’s definitely a place I keep coming back to.

The majority of my experiences with the staff have also been great. Everyone is usually friendly, helpful, and provides really good customer service.

My only criticism is that there is one cashier I’ve encountered several times who has consistently come across as very short and rude. I haven’t seen her during my more recent visits, but unfortunately, whenever she was working, it noticeably affected the experience. I normally wouldn’t mention a single interaction, but since it happened multiple times, I think it’s fair to include.

Outside of that, I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. The food is excellent, the rest of the staff has always treated me well, and I’ll absolutely continue coming back.“

“Best teriyaki In Bremerton with the most kind staff.“

“First time visiting and I regret not taking photos of all the food. We tried the spicy gyoza, ramen and a sushi burrito. Service was fast, portions were large on the ramen and burrito. We got a ramen to go and they keep the broth seperate from the rest so you can pour the broth over the meat and veggies when you're ready to eat it. Even the bathroom was fun lol“

“I have ordered takeout from here, and always had a good meal. Today, I took my son to dine in and had an incredible experience. We were greeted by the waiter Dom and he was exceptionally patient with all my questions. His friendly attitude radiated through the whole restaurant, making the experience that much better. We did the all you can eat option, and it was well worth the price. All of the food was fresh and well prepared, and quick service with a very cool kitty robot. There were enough vegetarian options to have a large variety of food to try. I highly recommend this place for good, clean, all you can eat restaurant. I believe it only runs for a certain part of the day, so maybe check before expecting all you can eat, but I’m not too sure on that.“

“Quaint little spot with a small bit clean dining room. Each selection was freshly prepared and excellent quality. Sampled a Bremerton roll, Philadelphia roll and an Alaskan roll. Along with their egg rolls and pot stickers. Exceptional. The staff was also the owners and they were lovely.“

“when we lived closer, this was our go to spot. they provided the food for our wedding rehearsal dinner 25ish years ago. always the best!“

“Great experience, friendly people that go above and beyond. Food is excellent!“

“All this for 8.95?! Weekday lunch specials til 3pm are a steal deal! Food was almost a 10/10 most the chicken was pretty lean but some fat pieces got left behind and that’s the only reason I gave a 9 instead of a 10. Service was a little bland but oh well.“

“We had a couple minutes to kill before our ferry ride so we decided to grab some poke to go (we decided to just get poke by the pound) any ate it on the ride back!

So surprised by how fresh the seafood was, we got scallop poke, octopus poke (tako), and a tuna poke!

It’s just a service counter with tables. Nothing too crazy, but it does have a cool indoor outdoor vibe.“

“When we got to the resturant most of the patrons were sitting outside, but when we went to sit down all the tables
Were sticky the cashier came out and wiped of the table and it was still sticky. The food was ok, i had beef teriyaki and my wife had beef noodles both were a little more salty than I wanted.“

“So the place is a little tight but you can still fit a good amount of people inn here. The food was good. They also offer free soup. The Lumpia was blah. It was a nasty vegetable eggroll frozen and fried. Not Authentic Filipino lumpia.. the service is nice you order then they bring it to the table. Free soda refills is great with kids. The sushi was good. The fried rice was the best.. the house combo eice was so delicious and the portion wss great. The price worked well with 4 kids and they do military discounts and a loyalty rewards program. BTW they have an amazing family platter for $55 w/tax. It is enough food to really feed a full house.“

“Great boba tea! Very nice, clean restaurant. Had a blended strawberry with mango popping boba. Delish thank you.“

“Today was our first time eating here. The service was pleasant and timely, and the food was delicious! We had the fresh spring rolls and chicken pho, and loved every bite. It was a wonderful dining experience. Thank you, we will be back soon! 😋“

“Great food, clean, friendly service!“

“A friend recommended them drove out . And they were super friendly. It's out in the middle of nowhere. But not to far out food is good !!!“

“Good food, friendly staff.“

“I was staying at the hotel next to hwy. 16 and was thinking of going into the downtown area of Port Orchard but I got turned around. I spotted the Fred Meyer and decided to pull in and check for a restaurant. Saw Kim’s and went in. I took an order of Chicken Chow Mein back to the hotel. Best Chow Mein I’ve ever had! One order was enough for two, or for leftovers. So Savory.“

“I stopped here and have to say I was surprised at the quality of sushi. I am always cautious when someone claims how good sushi is at a place. It was fantastic. Wish I had taken some pictures of the specialty roles, i.e., Kona and Firecracker Roles. Staff was on point. Knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely be back“

“always the best! the manager is amazing!“

“They are a great place to go for a wonderful meal :)“

“Literally hidden behind some shrub trees by planet fitness. I’ve had them twice now and thus far has not disappointed. Fairly priced for the amount of food that’s given to you. Going to give service a 4 since I’ve only gone for takeout and never sat down inside. Overall a very polite experience and pretty solid food.“

“Great food and friendly staff. Perfect dinner before a movie.“

“Good service Good food Really clean“

“Absolutely worst Japanese steakhouse experience of my life. This happened Thursday, June 11th, 2026. No knife show from the "chef" named Xavier. A little bit of clanging of the knives at the beginning, and the onion volcano later. That was IT. But it got worse. Only 3 scrambled eggs into a massive pile of rice, and a little bit of chicken. And soy sauce. It was tasteless. And the soup was salty and very peppery. Our lobster tasted funky and was overcooked. We asked for medium rare filet mignon and it was medium. I have been going to Japanese steakhouses for over 30 years. Always a favorite of mine. To top it off, they did a forced $40 "service fee"! Our party was for four people, and my daughter was with us and their check was for four people, as well. They were charged $20 for a "service fee". When my husband questioned why we had a forced $40 "service charge", my husband was told it was because we had a large party. Which is ridiculous at a Hibachi grill. It was also some of the worst service we have ever experienced. No dirty dishes were cleaned up the whole time, nor were any of us asked if we needed refills or wanted to order another drink. I do NOT recommend! BEWARE!“

“The food was excellent, we ordered a wide variety of dishes, for adults and children. Everyone was very happy. We will definitely go back.“
