“One of our longtime favorite sushi restaurants, Sam's is always delicious. On our recent trip, we enjoyed nigiri, bento box, and udon soup--it was all outstanding. This restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Street parking is hit and miss (no parking lot unfortunately). Now that bento now comes with maguro (tuna) instead of hamashi, but the wait staff graciously provided hamachi (yellowtail) this time only. We'll be back!Kid-friendliness: family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Door is wide enough, but needed help opening (old building). Ramp just inside was wide, easy to walk down. Regular tables, able to wheel up to one. Didn't use the rest room. No handicap parking but you may find street parking nearby. “The staff was very attentive and very nice! The restaurant itself was really crowded, so we sat at the window seats facing the parking lot. The food was pretty good, but not fantastic. My wife is Japanese, and I have spent many years in Japan myself, so we are kind of spoiled. On the positive side; in our opinion, this is the best Japanese restaurant in the Bremerton and Silverdale areas! So we are recommending Oishi Japanese Kitchen! Give it a try!“

He was like something out of an episode of _Curb Your Enthusiasm_. If you have the misfortune of getting him, make it clear at the outset that you want to enjoy your meal in peace and will not tolerate his clueless pestering.“
“Ordered the takoyaki, ribeye steak, and fried tuna roll. Everything was delicious. Would probably try a regular sushi or sashimi next time though. Steak was very good. I had had asked for medium rare and it came out well done so was kinda sad about that but it was still really good. And they have good prices for the rolls. Definitely recommend.“

I routinely get sushi takeout from here - they're quick to fill the orders and the staff is always pleasant and friendly. The non-sushi part of the menu is also really solid. “Sunny’s has become my new obsession. I’ve tried other teriyaki, just to try it and see if I’m missing something, but this place is just so good it wins every time. Authentic taste, excellent portions (we’re talking multiple meals), fast service and kind people. I try to keep my eating out to a minimum but I do treat myself a few times a month and it’s here. I usually go for either the regular or spicy chicken teriyaki and the yakisoba. You can’t go wrong with whatever you pick.“

Our party included 2 (very) young children, and the table set-up already included the requested booster seat when we arrived. Shortly after, kid-friendly waster glasses and crayons/paper were brought. Deluxe! Parking can get tricky when it's busy though, so easier to maneuver with a smaller car.The fried gyoza are crispy and delicious, especially with the dipping sauce. I think the California roll was good, but maybe a little too much mayo for my liking. Chicken katsu was very good and had great portions. Now the spicy teriyaki was good as a dish itself, but it doesn't taste like teriyaki. Usually chicken teriyaki uses the sauce, but spicy. Again, it was good as I like spicy food but it did not taste like teriyaki sauce so it didn't really have sweetness, just spicyness. The fried rice that I added with it was actually quite good pairing though and balanced it better than white would have.Overall, great place and I'll likely pass by again and give it another shot!“
“Ever since I've moved here to WA, this has been my go to place for teriyaki. Drive thru makes it that much easier. I love that they plate the plates with a little bit of cabbage and noodles. Mix it with the rice and you got yourself a meal. Banh mi is okay, there are only bbq and teriyaki choices. Why doesn't anyone ever have real cold cut banh mi around here? Anyways I've never tried their pho. But my family enjoys their Hong Kong noodles. Every time I need fast substantial food and don't want to get out of my car, this place is my go to.“

“Everything was great until one day, fried rice was super salty. Well, I complained and was made a new batch, delicious. I love a business that takes care of the customers. My go-to meal has always been chicken yakisoba. The owner noticed me adding Sriracha sauce all the time and recommended me ordering it spicy from the kitchen instead. “The portions here are very large-plenty of rice and several chicken thighs per order. Enough for two or one with leftovers. The chicken is charred and smoky. Sauce is a little gloppy and not very flavorful. Very fresh salad served with Russian dressing.“
“Love going to Azuma as it’s one of the better Sushi restaurants in the West Seattle area. The owners/employees are very friendly and the food is good quality. Only downside is that Azuma has stayed “take out only” since COVID restrictions lifted. This would be fine if inflation didn’t make the prices skyrocket. Sadly, it’s hard to justify take out for such a high price. I would be much happier paying high prices for good sushi if we were able to sit down in the restaurant to be served and eat.“

“My wife and I thought the food was very good and there is enough for two meals out of each order. We had the cashew chicken and Szechwan beef. The price is a little high, but for two meals, it was worth it. The lady behind the counter was very nice and our food came on quickly as well.“
“The service is warm, cheerful and swift; the poke is amazing but my favorite is their Wgyu ramen...WOW. To their poke they also add this pickled eggplant (some might mistake it for a pickled plum). My son and I are addicted. Crunchy, pickly, with umami. Also my addiction? Their housemade Yuzu soda. All this and just next to the ferry makes it a unique experience all around. And even though the seating is limited and not fancy, everything is very clean and I love a place where I can sit and eat and go. The environment is great for getting in and out while enjoying the scenery. We live on Bainbridge Island. We are not in any way affiliated with the owners. We just love the addition and want them to stay forever! (well at least for as long as we are here!).“
