Deep Draft Brewing is a cozy and comfortable restaurant, known for its kid-friendly atmosphere and a wide variety of German-style beer, canned ciders, and homemade root beer. The spacious patio, complete with heaters, makes for a great summer spot. The restaurant's 11 taps feature 10 of their own beers and one guest tap, including a highly-rated Czech-style pilsner. During Oktoberfest, they offer German foods and delicious hot mustard. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive to dietary needs, making it a great place for all customers. The community-oriented decor and warm service ensure a pleasant dining experience, making it a place where many plan to return.
The brewery offers outstanding food, including Texas-style BBQ prepared on-site in their specialty smoker and weekly specials that surprise guests. They have vegetarian options and a seasonal ambiance that changes throughout the year. Guests can enjoy both indoor and outdoor spaces, with outdoor heaters and sometimes a lit fire pit on cooler days. The outdoor garden area is beautiful and perfect for relaxing. The venue hosts weekly bands, monthly paint and sips, open mic nights, craft fairs during summer, and trivia every 3rd Thursday. It is a very mellow place to enjoy a pint or two, especially during events or quiet times. Friendly staff make visitors feel right at home, often encouraging them to have “just one more.” Located right off HW 3 in Gorst, it is considered a well-kept secret and a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Many visitors praise the variety of beer brewed in German fashion that is very drinkable, especially the kolsch, a best seller. The atmosphere is unique and comfortable, changing through the seasons, with a great outdoor space and fire pit in the right circumstances. The inside features lots of high bar tables and a decent selection of beer, including a soft-tasting Brown Ale and a light yet bitter All American IPA. The staff is friendly and attentive, and customers are encouraged to ask for the cash discount. The restrooms are very clean, making it a pleasant stop during a visit to the Port Orchard area.
