Eclectic family-run cafe with a loyal local following. Staff is so friendly! Everyone is treated like family. We were well cared for by everyone there. So amazing!
Cute little restaurant. Love their food very tasty.
Quite possibly the most unique restaurant I have been to in ages. The rare sights to behold here are waiters/cooks/waitresses that are extremely happy to serve and make sure everything is ok in terms of the food. Was like a home cooked meal. Will definitely be back again. I had the Deluxe French Toast with spam n bacon. Mm mm.
Parking: Free Parking Lot across the street.
This place is a guaranteed good time. Delicious food, wonderful people, happy decor, and great prices. And to top it all off - a disco bathroom! Go here and enjoy!
My husband and I went for breakfast. Lucky to arrive when we did as tables were soon full on a Saturday morning. Hours have changed so now they are open only Saturday and Sunday from 08:00 until 13:00. No more weekdays. They do take reservations. All ordering is done at a window outside, a table is assigned and then you are seated. Food arrived quite fast. Coffee and food were good. I had the Belgian waffle with the whipped cream, blueberries and strawberries. The serving of fruit was generous but the whipped cream was "from the can" variety. Not as rich as I'd like. My husband had a scramble - nice assortment of eggs, cheese, sausage and a few veggies. The accompanying fried potatoes were delicious. Will go back if we are in the area. The collection of old thermos bottles was a treat. Also, they have Volkswagen bus just outside the front door. I was told it seats up to six people --seems like it might be fun for a small group.
This place is one of a kind. Wonderful experience, ambiance and the food is delicious.Try the moon Biscuits and gravy. It will fill your tummy and soul. Highly recommend. The staff is very friendly as well. They helped us with the recommendations around in the town and nearby places. They gave us some gift cards and clicked some pictures. To sit in the bus is advance booking is necessary and they use facebook messenger to communicate. Do contact them. But they let us click some pictures even though we did not have the reservation to sit inside the bus.Plenty of parking space on the street. The food was served on time and we came out after having a happy and filling sunday brunch.
I sometimes come here twice in one weekend- their eggs benedict special is THAT GOOD. Their hollandaise recipe reminds me of being little. The owners are incredibly friendly & will do just about anything to make you feel at home here. They remember their regulars. Thanks for being a gem of a place to grab breakfast!
We will be back.It is hard to describe how much we enjoyed our experience here and we are so glad that we did have because this location is perfect. To start, the amazingly kind lady who took our orders(you order then sit fyi) was very patient and even played a Kazoo for our son during our brunch date... amazing. But the food too.. breakfast is breakfast, but sometimes you find a place that truly cares and wants you to enjoy your meal. That was HI Lo's agenda in our opinion.Every single employee was genuinely kind and happy! It's just a wonderful atmosphere all around!
Kid-friendliness: They are very kind towards kids! Highly recommend.
After 12 beautiful years I think it's about time I leave a review. This magical place will have you feeling like a million bucks. their short but simple menu has really not changed much either, their tried & true dishes will have you coming back!! I love everything on the menu but if I had to choose a last meal I'm going for the chorizo plate! The value, the quality, the people, the atmosphere. Just all top notch!! Thank you Heidi and Lowell for inviting us on this journey with you guys. And for serving us such beautiful breakfasts ?-Charlie & Erica

My girlfriend and I went for a romantic brunch in the VW bus! It was fantastic! The reservation process was simple and easy. Heidi was very attentive and even asked if we were celebrating anything special. We were. She really went above and beyond to make sure we had a unique experience. When we arrived at the pick-up counter, the lady knew who I was and said she was expecting us. I really felt like a VIP. We were escorted over to the bus which was very cozy and quaint. The food was delicious and the whole experience was very romantic and memorable. It was a day we'll remember for the rest of your lives. Thank you all!
If you get a chance to be seated in the bus it's a fun little experience. And on colder days there is a heater in the bus so you don't have to worry about getting cold.good drip coffee offered no specialty coffees though. Staff is friendly. During busy hrs it can be a good wait however you can call for seating ahead of time.
I went for my birthday, made a reservation for the Yoda room. The atmosphere is so fun, and the owner came in with a kazoo to play Happy Birthday for me. It's a great place to go.
Super friendly team and great food! My coffee cup was never empty and the food portions are just right.A really great experience!
Parking: Quiet neighborhood with easy on-street parking + a large lot directly across the street.
Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and plenty of space for a walker, stroller or wheelchair. The restroom is probably wheelchair accessible, too. I'm pretty sure the door is wide enough, and you don't have to go down a corridor. It's right next to the dining area.
i politely asked if any items off the menu were vegan or could be made vegan. i have been vegan for 25 years as of the point of this edit. 20 years since the review. i was ready for a simple "no" from this place. i never expect any business to have vegan options.that was not sufficient. the server had to yell at the top of her lungs over the morning crowd that they didn't have anything vegan. after this, she proclaimed that she would ask the kitchen, and without waiting formy response screamed across the room to the kitchen staff asking if anything could be made vegan. this clearly disrupted kitchen staff as one person stepped out with a spatula in hand and offered "maybe a bowl of fruit?" while shaking his head and rolling his eyes back dramatically and the server condescendingly said "yeah, MAYBE we can do a bowl of fruit."i have never in my life witnessed service like this, toward myself or anyone else, and i will never forget this.
