I'd give this a solid 5 star if the customer service was great. Just came back to area after almost 20 yrs. Was excited to see the bakery was still there. Grew up getting the Pink Champagne cakes for bdays and other special occasions. So excited to order and pick up a cake for my upcoming bday. When I called in all excited I got a dull response at best. I don't know who answered but they could care less that I was excited. Okay that could be on me. I was being a dork. However....when I went to pick up my cake...I told the girl behind the counter how excited I was....should have known better didn't even get a HI or How Can I Help you when it was my turn. She barely looked at me just got my cake boxed it and told me the price. It was kinda a bummer to leave on. I know everyone has bad days. But I'm pretty sure judging by her lackluster greeting...or lack there of...that she was the same person that took my order. Like I said....kinda a bummer since I was so excited. Well the Pink Champagne cake is unmatched. Haven't had it in almost 20 yrs and it's EXACTLY as I remember it. Delicious. So happy to see McGavins made it thru Covid and have stayed in biz. I'll be back despite the lack of customer service experience. Love their cakes. Highly recommend. Maybe others will have a better face to face than I did.

We ordered our wedding cake from McGavin's. We requested the cake on the left with swirl details. We paid extra for the gold and detail. The decorator told us the decorations would not be a problem and even showed us a picture of a cake she had done recently that looked similar. We were so disappointed on the day of our wedding. It looks like they totally forgot about our order and just slapped something together last minute. I could never recommend this place. I cry when I look at our wedding photos.

We have ordered a blood orange cake with some sort of berry frosting at least 3 times. Went to order this year and she told us that they have never done one. Furthermore they could not check our previous orders. What a bummer it was a delicious cake. Customer service is not always great. We started getting this cake when it was offered as a summer special one year.

They are so amazing yesterday I went to pick up a bunch of different cookies for my wife and Friend for her work. I ordered three cookies for myself. They accidentally did not make it in the bag. I called them to let them know about it today, I showed up, and as soon as I walked in the door, they greeted me with a smile grab the cookies that I did not get told me thank you for their service. I appreciate them. They are wonderful people lifelong customer here.

We were able to get a pink champagne cake right before a major holiday! The staff were quick and friendly. Prices are decent for a small bakery. They have a long history in Bremerton!The cake itself was moist, soft, and perfectly sweet and frosted. It was a standard vanilla inside. Their cake pops are my kids favorites!We were able to park right next to the bakery and be in and out within 10 minutes. It is in old Bremerton, and very pleasant and clean inside the store.
