Continuing my food tour of the PNW, Saboteur Bakery has been coined the best bakery in the Kingston Area. It is tucked away in a small shop in Bremerton downtown. I was skeptical because I am a little bit of bakery connoisseur. I was not disappointed by the expectations that were set for me. This bakery was popping when I arrived due to heavy foot traffic. The almond croissant was literally warm when I purchased it. The frangipane onto was perfectly crisped and topped with the toasted almonds was balanced with the soft inside filling. The pear brioche danish was just as good because the crackling on the sides also matched with the soft inside to give the pastry texture. Both of the pastries were well worth the drive and I would be willing to go again. The reason that I took one star off is because I was slightly disappointed with the choice of pastries. I had heard that weekly there is a special bakery item that they keep in the fridge (this is only available on the weekends). I was disappointed that there was no way that I could have known in advance to drive there on Saturday instead of Friday. Maybe I am not aware of something that locals are?

Incredible! Worth standing in line. They have excellent European bread as well. I haven't been there in a while, but definitely recommend them highly.

Everything is so delicious! This pastry chef must've graduated at the top of his class! You can tell his understanding of baking is very advanced. I look forward to treating myself every time I visit Bremerton and also bring a box back to Texas with me!

I bought one of each of their pastries sweet and savory twice so far but I only tasted the almond financier (like a cake/cookie, so good), and the rest I gave it to my daughter's teacher and admin staff. I would love to taste all but so rich and I'm trying to lose weight lol. I takes a walk there a lot...Smells so good I might just hang around the area longer.

Read much about this bakery and checked it out for the first time. Bought 2 baguettes a day old. This batch should have been thrown into the trash or fed to the birds. Not because it was a day old but because it was overly neaded and overcooked. Instead they decided to sell it to a gullable public. SHMAE ON YOU SABOTEUR. How can you expect to establish a reputation with garbage like this? I hope you read this review and change your ways because I've been baking for over 40 years and my 13 year old granddauther can bake baguettes better than this! I will not return to your store even though I live less than 3 minutes away. Get it together Saboteur or you will be gone.

Never had anything here that was less than incredible. A world class bakery in sleepy Manette, whoda thunk?

This is a small bakery with limited hours and even more limited supply so come early and get everything you want to try because I guarantee they sell out of everything after 2 hours of just opening!2 words, Egg Danish!! If a croissant, egg, green onion bun and fresh herbs had a party it would be this egg Danish! I cannot stress enough how mouthwatering and savory and perfect this one item is! I usually have my sister get me a almond croissant but I've been missing out! The egg Danish is hands down the pièce de résistance imo.Service is quick, I don't recall seeing anywhere to sit, its more of a grab and go but the staff are friendly, and the goods are amazing! Come here and come early, they are worth it!

Get here early! The line starts before they even open which is always a good sign. We tried the classic croissant, ham & cheese croissant, chocolate croissant and the lemon ginger scone. So freaking amazing!!!! All of it. Every. Single. Thing. Prices are good. Place is clean. Check ‘em out for sure.

I stumbled into Saboteur around 11am on a Friday, just after having had a panic attack (unrelated to this establishment). In a haze I ordered an egg danish. And let me tell you: It was so. freaking. good. Anxiety? Cured. Depression? Gone. Life-changing pastries here, truly. Go buy some.

I think I timed my visit today perfectly. The display case shows what’s on offer with racks of cooling pastries behind the counter (so don’t worry that the case looks sparse). I got a somehow just perfectly warm apple, almond danish and I nearly died with how good it was. Not too sweet but sweet enough with a light dusting of powder sugar. Flaky pastry (not stodgy and not too sweet and not artificial tasting - you know what I mean, real butter and no strange coating on your tongue after). They also had breads on offer but I didn’t try them, looked like they had a good bake on them though. Small waiting area and door swings inward so be careful entering.
