I stopped in at hot Java Café got myself a 24 ounce mocha and a steak and egg breakfast burrito and let me tell you the steak and egg breakfast burrito? not a whole lot to write home about but very filling, not heavy on the stomach and fresh enough to where it didn’t give me acid reflux or negative reaction so four stars for that but the coffee was amazingly well-made tasteful not bitter in the slightest and made with a lot of Care. I highly recommend Java Café even if you’re stopping in for a quick bite or whatever else. check them out.

This used to be my place to go for coffee but in the resent years it has gone down hill. Not so much the coffee or the food but the owner. I found out how she treated her employees for four former workers there. She was harsh, unpleasant, screamed and so much more. I'm sorry but I can not in good conscious recommend this place.

We have been going to Hot Java for years. This review is strictly a reflection on the owner of the establishment. Her staff and food choices will be left for others to review. Over the last 6 months or so, the owner has became snotty to rude to us. We tried many times to work with her, trying to understand her behavior. We were steady, consistent loyal customers. Also, brought clients in many times. Our last visit was terrible. Never been treated so rudely in a restaurant. After a few minutes we left, no coffee, no food, bewildered why owner was behaving so badly. We tried to reason with her but enough is enough. We will never return. Plenty of other choices out there.

What an incredible experience. The staff was able to customize my dairy request and was super nice about it. The food was incredible! Coffee was 5 stars hands down!

Went in early for breakfast and had a delicious everything bagel with bacon, egg, cheese with pesto which was deliciously toasted. Our coffee was brought out by a pleasant young lady with the most beautiful skin I have ever seen- coffee was perfect- and next came silverware and food brought out by a charming woman who gave off a real kind motherly vibe. She really seemed like our enjoyment of the food and drink meant a lot to her.

My daughter and I loved our breakfast and we will definitely be back!

The coffee tasted as bad as the cafe smelled. Maybe the service was so ridiculous because the hippy staff was late for their sunshine smoke break.

Visiting the area and decided to try this place! Absolutely so happy we did! The coffee was great and the smokestack breakfast sandwich was delicious and massive! Would highly recommend checking this place out! Staff was also super friendly and we enjoyed our experience here?

Good but not great. Coffee was marginally better than a drive through stand but not much. Avocado toast was good not great. The selection of pastries was poor. The staff was clearly overworked when we were in there and the quality of service definitely suffered.

The atmosphere was not great. It felt more like a lunch restaurant and less like a cute, homey coffee shop. It did not give off a queer friendly vibe.

If you are looking for a cute, friendly, tasty coffee shop in the Callow area I recommend Cafe Corvo. It wins in every metric.

Parking: The parking lot is incredibly uneven and oddly proportioned.

My man, in March, turned me onto their chocolate & real peanut butter frap & "Oh my gosh, sooo good, like too good really, darn it!" I say too good because the 1st month I'd go by mabey 3-4 mornings a wk but in the last 2 months, I've gone each morning if here at our Bremerton home & moved up von the 16oz to their 20oz. I tried one while at our vacation house in Arizona, I new it wouldn't be exactly like HJC's, but after 2 wks. I felt like I was going through withdrawals. 1st thing wrong was they didn't use real peanut butter & 2nd, I like mine thick, real thick like a shake. Heck, I'm in Arizona, it's 109* in Lake Havasu at noon & I'm told that's thick as it gets with 3 shots. It wasn't close to being thick, except for the 4-5 bigger pieces of ice that hadn't melted yet by the time I found a garbage to get rid of it. So, if u go & try 1, tell em Ms. Sam sent ya. I bet they'll know what ya want. But make sure to ask 4 real peanut butter, not the syrup flavoring or whatever it is, don't ask me, I'm no barista but they are!
