Locked Out and Flipped Off — Disrespectful Experience at Subway (5050 WA-303)
On October 16, 2025, I arrived at this Subway location around 8:30 PM, well within their posted hours (signage said open until 9 PM). The door was locked with no explanation. After waiting, an employee emerged from the back—not to assist, but to make a middle finger gesture toward me through the glass.
I’ve never experienced anything so blatantly rude at a fast food establishment. If the store needed to close early, a simple sign or explanation would’ve sufficed. Instead, I was met with hostility and zero professionalism.
I hope management takes this seriously. Customers deserve basic respect, not obscene gestures.
The food is great the staff are friendly, but you can be certain that whenever you go there only one person will be at the counter. And that one person will be making sandwiches for people who aren't even there yet, while walk in customers stand and wait for them to be done. Really crappy service model. If you want to be able to do pickup orders where there are 5 sandwiches needing all kinds of special stuff, you need to have one person focus on that and another working the front. If no one comes in then they can help with pickups. But under no condition should a restaurant which relies on a lot of walk by customers coming in make them sit there and watch them make sandwiches for people who aren't even there yet. It just shows a certain cheapness of not wanting to have an extra person to do that, greediness in wanting to get every last dollar you can, and no focus on the customers who are there. Unfortunately it isn't just an issue with this restaurant. It seems to be a virus that Safeway has where they think they can make more stuff and somehow have less employees.

Wow is all I can say about my experience. The gentleman, James,(i'm using that term loosely)that helped me looked like he was in dire need of rest, a shower, and fresh razor. He had dark circles under his eyes and mumbled throughout our entire interaction. I didn't feel comfortable with him making my sandwich so I left and went to another store. I don't know if Subway does drug testing but it may worth looking into for that guy

This place is probably one of the worst subways I've ever been to they all have crappy attitudes you try and call the store to ask them a question and they answer the phone with a pissy tone saying what no hello or anything customer service is trash and if you are a regular and they don't like you they give you attitude or seems like they have purposely messed up my sub. Your better off going to one of the other nearby subways 💯💯

Very clean and demure. Best subway sandwich I have ever had. I tasted the care that was put into the sandwich. Amazing customer service
Ordered online, the sandwiches tasted fine but unfortunately we also ordered a churro and there was absolutely 0 cinnamon sugar on it.
Has to be one of the cleanest subways I have been to. I see a lot of negative reviews but the 2 workers Stevie and Lucy today made our sandwiches and my coworkers and I had a great experience!! Give them a raise!!

Worst subway experience. The girl was talking to her girlfriend tooooo much while making one sandwich. She didn't care about other customers in line. She lost 3 clients before us and we also left. 15 minutes for a sandwich for 1 customer? Are you serious? That place should be closed permanently

This place must be owned by someone who does not care.
The Manager was so rude to my wife and another person of color and her children. She actually snatched food from a child and told everyone to get out before she called the police.
There is no explanation other than what must have been personal life issues and misery.
We left and went to another location.
Food was fine, but the guy making my sandwich was either high or drunk or both. He kept forgetting things then accidentally taking his gloves off and having to rewash his hands. It was the most painful mind numbing subway experience I have ever had. He was nice enough tho. And he did fine on the sandwiches. It just took a while.
However his coworker was extremely rude. I asked him a question and he brushed me off like I didn’t exist. The arrogance of this subway employee that makes minimum wage was disgustingly palpable. Chill out buddy.

They got rid of the rude crackhead woman that used to work there that who would act like you were such an inconvenience just for walking in, so the service is slightly better now.
