We celebrated getting married by having dinner here. Fabulous service from our waitress and the owner was attentive and kind. Get the scalloped potatoes, they will change your life. Thank you Ables for hosting our joyous occasion!

We decided to try the happy hour at Ables steakhouse and I had a delightful experience. We tried seven appetizers that we shared, and all of them were outstanding. The sliders were unbelievable! In the past, we have tried most of the entrées and now Ables steakhouse is by far our favorite restaurant! The staff is very friendly and professional and Ryan has a great wine selection as well. Give it a try.you will not be disappointed.

Hi All

Let me start off by saying. The main reason for my 5 ⭐️ rating was because of the customer service!!!!! Absolutely amazing. From the lovely hostesses to the super friendly food runners/bussers. But most of all the Bartender I believe her Name is Zoey. Sorry if that is incorrect. She’s beautiful, friendly, a knowledgeable. She made the experience worth it. As for the food the food was very good, not great. My stake was cooked to perfection my asparagus was spot on. My baked potato was undercooked, but not horrible. If I could say one thing that I would fix, That would be for the manager on duty to go around sporadically and ask the diners how their meal and experience is going. Ryan the owner was super nice and welcoming. I’ll be back soon.

Only Steakhouse in Burien and this is what we got for $ 220,- with one glass of wine.
Will not recommend!

My husband wanted to give a new steakhouse a try for his birthday. Reservation was easy to make and they were able to seat us earlier than the time I had reserved. The dirty martini that was ordered was not dirty at all, except for the 3 olives that were in it. The blue cheese salad was a large serving that could easily be shared, but was lacking much dressing and was fairly bland, even with the fresh cracked pepper. The onion soup was way too sweet and sent back to the kitchen. We both ordered ribeye steaks. They were cooked to a perfect temperature, but came out looking gray with only a few grill marks. No sear at all on the steak. They were both unevenly seasoned. Some bites without any salt with other bites tasting like there was a mound of salt. My husband's steak had a taste of natural gas, as if the burners were not all lit. The creamed spinach was mostly cream, with little spinach. We were offered a dessert menu, but with the experience with the main course we were ready to leave. After paying the bill, we overheard another server asking another table if there was any celebration for the evening and that they offer complimentary dessert for birthdays and special occasions. This was never told to us by our server and we may have changed our mind on ordering one. for his birthday. But lessons learned. You try a new place and things aren't good, you don't want to go back. As I was leaving, I spoke with the owner to give him some feedback about the experience. He said he wished he would have known everything that wasn't right before we paid and leaving. He would have known if someone checked on us during our meal to ask us how everything was. Way overpriced for the food and experience. $200 before tip for two underwhelming steaks, one drink, an iced tea, salad, and side of creamed spinach was way too much.

Three months ago we had our first visit and have been back every Thursday since. The service and food have set a new benchmark. Thank you for giving Burien a place to go where service is exemplary and the food touches every tastebud. Not to forget the cocktails! Definitely mastering the art of mixology.

If I could scream 5 stars any louder I would! My husband and I came here for our 3 year wedding anniversary. We were greeted at the door by the friendliest hostess who inquired about our anniversary and quickly sat us without a wait. Our server was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable about all things on the menu, including a delicious recommendation for a bottle of wine.

The cocktails we ordered were made to perfection. The appetizers were perfectly portioned to leave room for the massive Porterhouse stake. We also ordered the asparagus and the scalloped potatoes as sides, and both were cooked to perfection. We finished our meal with the cheesecake, which was fresh and so flavorful.

Our entire experience was top notch. This is such a great addition to Burien and we cannot wait to visit again!

I know this place is new and they are trying to make it a nice place,,, which it is but…
Each and everyone of the employees seemed way over the top, and at times I felt as if I was on an airplane runway because they all just hovered too much. I felt that I was being rushed to eat just so they could hurry and grab our dishes.
The food was okay, the fries were yummy, but the steak was cold. AFTER desert was ordered we were told it would be a 15 minute wait,,, which really meant 30 minutes,,, and after that it was just okay. I may give them another try, but it will be a while so they can settle in.

Meal highlights: shrimp bisque, the wedge salad, and the salmon were good.

Meal lowlights: three steaks were ordered and ALL of them were overcooked. The scalloped potatoes were burned on the bottom, overly salty, and had a strange color. I have to wonder if they are made in-house as they seem like a frozen item that comes off the Sysco truck.

Other positives: The wine list is well-appointed and the cocktails were good. The service, though very slow, was professional and friendly.

Other negatives: We were offered new steaks, but we chose to stick with our hockey pucks because we didn’t want the other people in our party to wait and have their food get cold. In addition, I know from experience that the people working in the kitchen can get a bit testy when food is sent back. Finally, we consider it a privilege to be able to treat ourselves to what should be high quality food. However, we’re not so privileged that we think it’s acceptable for over 1 pound of meat to go down the garbage disposal just because someone doesn’t know how to cook.

Recommendations: to potential customers - spend a few bucks more and go to El Gaucho or Capital Grille if you want a good steak. And to the restaurant - get a sous vide and Chef Steps subscription.

Three of our party ordered steaks and they were all way over cooked. Some ordered rare and they came out medium. Another person ordered theirs medium and it was well done and dry, it couldn't be eaten. They offered to redo them but then the rest of us have been done before they got started. The OWNER was very RUDE and accused us of trying to get free meals! They didn't even offer a comp desert. You would think a "Steakhouse" would know how to prepare a steak! Never going back!

Really love the vibe of this place - elegant but chill still. Excellent date night spot! The staff were great, very helpful with questions. The drinks were popping and the food was crazy good - try the crab cakes!

If you're considering going out here vs going into the city for a nice dinner, give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

As an individual who was raised in SeaTac and Burien, Able is the kind of place we have been missing. A proper steakhouse with cuts, separate sides, a more than decent wine selection, and above all else:

A staff who cares, and people who understand the restaurant industry.

The service is amazing, and Ryan is a personal friend of the family who owns the Hans Delicatessen, a staple of Burien. I cannot recommend this place more, especially in its early days. Please come support this business and ensure Burien keeps a place like this thriving.
