We tried El Cabrito and it was absolutely fantastic! I grew up in Arizona and am always looking for great Mexican food. El Cabrito did not disappoint. My husband has judged all burritos to the one he believes is the best from Tubac, Arizona and he said his Al Pastor burrito from El Cabrito finally surpassed the one from Tubac. The guacamole was phenomenal!! Can’t recommend El Cabrito enough!!

My buddy and I were renting an Air Bnb and were craving for some good Mexican. We hit a home run with this small unassuming restaurant. Service was great and the food was awesome! I had the carnitas plate and my friend had an enchilada plate. Both of us were more than satisfied and very happy we found El Cabrito!

Great hole in the wall Oaxacan cuisine. I've been twice and plan on returning with my family. I got the green cheese enchiladas the first time and a carnitas burrito today. The salsa is fire, the food is so good, the service is great, the indoors is so quaint and cute and you can sit outside too. Wonderful underrated restaurant.

Best authentic Oaxacan food in South Seattle. Good for takeout but the cozy, clean dining room is homey and enjoyable too. Wonderful to hear the staff chatting and laughing in the kitchen; makes you feel like everyone really enjoys making and serving good food.

I’m from Oaxaca, Mexico, and finding truly authentic Mexican food in Washington is not easy—but El Cabrito is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant in the entire state. The flavors remind me of home, everything tastes fresh and made with love, and every dish is packed with authenticity. I come here all the time, and it never disappoints. Truly the best Mexican food ever—highly recommend to anyone looking for the real thing!

I just had incredible chicken mole enchiladas here, and I’ll be coming back soon to try the burritos!

Very cute little spot with outdoor seating and a few parking spots too. And the gentleman who served us was very friendly and kind despite speaking nearly no English.

Food was amazing! We ordered the Tlayuda with Carne Asada and the chicken soup. Tlayuda was so flavorful and unique. The tortilla was crunchy and chewy and smoky. So fantastic! We will be back!

Finally stopped after driving by this place for a while. We ordered a burrito and quesadilla, both had excellent flavor, made from fresh ingredients. The salsas were spicy, smoky, and enhanced the food nicely. I ordered a horchata, which taste different depending on the recipe (this one was homemade) and it wasn’t the best I’ve had but ranked higher than pre-made mix horchata from some restaurants. Food was a worth the step up in price from fast food, but still quick and friendly service. Wish the portions were bigger! I’ll be back for sure.
