Decor is standard ivar’s, so I gave it a default 5 stars. Food is as expected, nicely fried seafood. The Asian lady frying the food seems very on top of things and open to helping the cashier when she has a spare moment. She seems more invested than she should be, so that’s good, right? They also bring your order out to you. I’m used to them calling your name and you have to get your order at the counter. So services is above par for an Ivar’s.

The highlights are the fish and chips. We also have the clams and chips but it is like eating crust/breading. I will stay away from that. I'll reorder the fish and chips and clam chowder .

I need you guys to remember to give me crackers when I order clam chowder! It’s a no-brainer. If you’re not putting it in the bag because you no longer carry them, change that. Immediately.

So I am a regular here and I enjoy the bread bowl. I know almost every employee here. The general manager and me shared a few laughs. For some apparent reason Tony was being rude and not on his game. It made me so upset I just walked away there is no reason for me to sit there and eat food if you’re going to be disrespectful. The managers use to be friendly and kind and welcoming now they are just outrageously RUDE. Tony made a remark that should never be said so I rather go to the other ivars in Renton at least that general manager knows how to treat customers like guest and not burdens and also not make comments about my skin tone. Word of advice make sure a customer can’t hear you making fun of them.

The younger cashiers and cooks are amazing . However the older Asian guy who I am assuming is the manager for some reason think it’s okay to make people ready to eat food with bare hands . I have asked him numerous times to refrain from touching my tacos without gloves however it seems to not be registering. It is not okay to touch people’s food bare hands ..
