You can say this is a different restaurant: you'll hear your order being freaky cut and cooked, while enjoying your company. They serve the purest water (not the pool smelling tap water of Seattle), and the food is spicy and flavorful. You can tell, they care not just for the looks, taste, and smells, but also for balanced, simple and cheap diet.
Everyone who tasted confirmed, this food feels great and makes you STRONG for the day. When I hire helpers and such, I always take them here for breakfast. After eating here they are faster, have sharper mind, and zero digestive breaks or oopses at the workplace... And the morale is stellar.
We loved it here. It’s really hard to find Ethiopian food in Tacoma, so we were very happy we made this little drive. Would definitely recommend to anyone

Food is always good but this online ordering is often messy. This one todays takes cake, placed an order online for pick up, got a text saying it is ready all to come to a closed restaurant (I was there on time).. unacceptable….If you close your business, don’t accept orders in your online system. Not only I’ve wasted my time, am hungry and now need to waste more time to dispute the pending credit charge… sigh…

We have been looking for good Ethiopian food for a while and tried Kokob. The food was excellent and the service was great. We came from Olympia and we were very happy! They prepare the food to order so if you are in a rush you may want to call ahead. We will definitely be back!
