This was my second time trying Tori’s Sake and Grill, and I was really looking forward to the sushi, so much so that I brought a friend along to try it too. My first visit was great: the sushi was delicious and the manager was very kind, which is why I decided to come back. Unfortunately, this second experience was the complete opposite.
We ordered several different rolls and waited about 25 to 30 minutes for our food. One of the rolls that contained tuna tasted extremely fishy and unpleasant. It honestly seemed unsafe to eat. We had only tried one piece each before telling a staff member and asking if we could replace it with something else. Instead of offering a simple replacement, the staff member brought over the manager, who told us the only thing they could do was give us a discount on that roll. We immediately declined because no one wants to pay for food that could make them sick. I expect fresh, high-quality sushi when I dine out, not questionable fish and an argument about it. After going back and forth, the manager finally agreed to remove the roll from the bill but insisted that other customers had ordered it all day without complaints. That does not change the fact that ours was clearly off.
It is really disappointing that the manager chose to handle the situation this way. I was hoping for better customer service, especially since I was a returning customer who genuinely enjoyed my first visit. For now, I will be trying other sushi spots that actually care about the quality of their food and their customers’ experience.

Great sushi spot in Burien!
This was our first time dining at Tori Sake & Grill, and we were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice Japanese restaurant in Burien. We decided to skip the sashimi and nigiri this time and went for three of their special rolls: the Lion King, TNT, and Eel-Electric Delight.
All three rolls were flavorful and beautifully plated. The TNT had a good level of heat, the Lion King was rich and creamy, and the Eel-Electric Delight had a great mix of sweet and savory with crispy textures. The presentation was lovely, and the atmosphere was casual but stylish.
Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. We'll definitely be back to try more next time!

The food is fantastic but that's not why I'm writing this review. In a world where customer service seems to be abysmal with every establishment I seem to come across, Tori Sake and Grill needs awards on a monthly basis! Their customer service is impeccable, phenomenal and downright outstanding. This crew knows what they are doing and my goodness they are doing it well! I've only ever had the rolls here and so that's all I can speak to. Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. Every time! I'm proud to live in a neighborhood with such a restaurant around the corner!

Oh man we just discovered this place and it was a smash hit!!! Wife’s first sushi after 9 months of pregnancy and we got it for pickup. In my experience if sushi is dank to-go, then it’s also great dining in. We can’t wait to go back!!! The nigiris were ample and the selection was amazing. We also got the picante roll and the Fatty Roller, and the Fire Salmon, which was FIRE! Don’t sleep on this spot. Nice little corner location with great service and atmosphere ❤️

Always get unbelievable friendly service here. The omakase box is my go to whenever I know I’m going to be in the area. Fresh, tasty and beautiful presentation every time. Could eat this couple times a week if I could.

I highly recommend checking out Tori Sake & Grill. Their team provides a plethora of fresh nigiri options with topnotch service throughout the dining experience. Their quality is by far the best I’ve experienced in the area! Fresh wasabi is available.
Only three omakase are available per day, so it is recommended to call ahead to reserve if your heart is set on that experience. I originally ordered the Signature Nigiri Affair. The variety of high-quality fish available led me to reserve the omakase for the following day. While the onion garnish felt a little overwhelming on a couple of the nigiri, that can be easily remedied. Overall, Tori Sake & Grill should absolutely be on your list to check out.

The sushi here is so good. I tried the red dragon role and it didn't disappoint. Everything was well made and super fresh. My son had the chicken katsu and the portion was huge and he devoured it! The staff was quite friendly and attentive as well. They really made you feel welcome. Will definitely be back again!
Went there today to take my wife for mother's day. Great customer service, the food was fresh and came out quickly. Every thing was a great experience. The food was delicious. The price was also reasonable. They also gave my wife an extra salmon dish for mother's day. Would definitely come back. My son loved this sushi place.

Small restaurant. Attentive service. We ordered agedashi tofu, butter scallops and chicken garage appetizers. All delicious and generous portions. For sushi we had the eel roll, bluefin tuna roll, special California roll with real crabmeat, caterpillar roll and Shima aji nigiri. Seafood quality outshines anything in the given price range. Best bang for your food dollar. Will be back!

I liked this spot a lot! Huge menu with lots of different options to scratch your sushi itch. I went with a buddy and we got a ton of rolls and nigiri, none of which were disappointing. All the fish was super fresh, so I’ll for sure be coming back to this one.
