I cannot even begin to explain how excited I was for this meal. I may or may not have had a little wine and a gummy (as one does), so the vibes were already high. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry and the Homemade Hamburger Steak with Gravy, and let me tell you—both were absurdly good. Like, offensively delicious. I usually roll my eyes when people say “amazing” too much, but here? Yeah. Worth it.
Let’s talk katsu. Instead of breast, it’s made with thigh meat—an absolute revelation. Juicy, flavorful, life-changing. I had to sit down (and yes, I was already sitting). But here’s the kicker: the leftovers. I reheated the curry-soaked katsu in the air fryer and it became next-level. The sauce seeps into the breading, then the air fryer brings back the crisp like magic.
And honestly? The real move is to fry it again after the curry hits. Re-fry. Trust me. The sauce-infused breading turns into this glorious crunch-meets-savoriness situation that’s borderline unfair. I would order this dish again just for the leftovers. Delicious the first time around, but the remix? Absolute perfection. 10/10, would air fry again.

L&L bbq is consistently delicious when you’re looking to satisfy your island craving. I always get the Pork Lau Lau and Katsu. The Mac salad here is amazing. The Burien location always serves.

Had high hopes for my lunch, ordered kalua pork. It was dry and salty. Felt like it was reheated.
Macaroni salad was good. Rice was standard.
I would have eaten there, but when I enter, the place smelled like an old unwashed cleaning rag. I will not be going back.

Honestly this is rocky between 2 and 3 stars... I love lau Lau and have had it many times... I spent about 40$ on the Lau Lau plate and ribs and I have to say everything I got had almost no flavor, no spice, no seasoning, no sauce... I don't understand, ANY flavor would add so much to there dishes. It's sad cause I love lau Lau and can order so close to me but I won't be due to the flavorless dishes.

My husband and I stumbled across this place in Federal Way. It was really good! I got a bbq chicken "mini" lunch plate and hubs got a cheeseburger combo. Portions were very generous. The chicken was really good and more than I could eat. Mine was chicken, rice, and Hawaiian macaroni salad. SO tasty! There was extra sauce, but it was so good it didn't need it. My husband's burger was nicely char grilled hand formed and big. Delicious crisp crinkle cut fries - More fries than he could eat and a soft drink - all for around $8.50! Mine was 10.00 or 11.00 (I think.) The place is not fancy at all but it was clean and pleasant, pretty much like a teriyaki place. The staff were all nice. Great Hawaiian plate lunch, great burger (so said hubs) great price. We'll be back. There are lots of other options to check out. I think it's a chain or a franchise but it was quality food.
