I really like the atmosphere of this place it’s big and has an outdoor patio. Lots of TVs, darts, pool and pull tabs. The bartender on Saturday/Sunday mornings is usually the same girl when we come and she is fast and efficient. The service is fast and efficient. Breakfast food is really good also fast and efficient. No problems with breakfast in fact I think it’s gotten way better than it was before. Opposite of that my problem with this place is lunch/dinner on the weekends and sometimes not so nice bartenders and servers. I hear them gossiping about so and so coworker and it’s not cute. It’s awkward and tense. Take it to the back people 👏 It can be very disorganized. I don’t think they have a manager or owner around very often. I get that it’s busy but waiting over an hour today for a late lunch when you’re hungry sucks. Especially when you only order two items and it’s a greasy mess when you get it and worse not even hot. Warm but not hot. The waitress was obviously frazzled so we didn’t say anything. It’s not just today it feels more often than usual maybe it’s just the sun and everyone’s out so it’s extra busy. I’m just not sure they were prepared. The vibe I get like they don’t really want us there cause they’re too busy and stressed…. I’ve seen a couple eye rolls. I know they’re busy I’m not trying to be a hater but maybe another waitress would help. Or another cook on busy days. I really want to love this place at any time I come in not just certain times.

This time last year I would have said save your money but credit where credit is due. Breakfast has been absolutely transformed. I used to come in because they have a beautiful outside area where I can bring my dogs and kids. It’s a nice spot for the family on the weekends but unfortunately we were coming in less and less. I wasn’t ever sure what color my gravy was gonna be. Sometimes it was this old gray color I’m convinced they used water instead of milk and the sausage wasn’t always cooked in the gravy it had that nasty pink sausage color. It wasn’t consistent I had no idea what I’d be getting. Also my food would take like an hour or more. Just so many things I could go on but now over the past six months or so (that’s when I started gave it another try) I always see the same two breakfast cooks a guy and a girl and I just want to say I love you guys. My gravy is white and the sausage is cooked all the way through. My hashbrowns have been great every time. I had an omelet today and it was cheesy not dried out and delicious. My eggs have been cooked correctly. My toast isn’t burned anymore. My food isn’t cold when I get it anymore. It’s HOT. Last time I had this huge delicious sausage patty. It tasted homemade. We come more and more often because of these two cooks and waitresses! The atmosphere is better they got nicer waitresses in the morning. The service is better. I get my food way way faster than before. I get my drinks faster. Everyone is smiling and last year it just seemed like the waitresses were fighting and had frowns on their faces. Not anymore everyone is great it’s like coming to a fun place with awesome food. I feel welcomed instead of put out. It’s scary because you see restaurants go down hill and you think oh this is it for them….it will never get better but they truly turned it around. The portions are great and fair prices. They have $6.95 kids meals if you have little ones like we do. We don’t come in for lunch or dinner much but I have had a few soups and they were great too. They have this huge wrap with crispy chicken, ranch, BBQ and onion rings that’s really great and a delicious Rueben too. All in all I’m so glad to see one of my favorite places make a comeback with quality decisions from management and/or owner. I waited to write this review in case it went back to what it was but they’re still going strong as of today!

I normally never leave a review let alone a bad one, but coming from a family which owns a bar a business in the same industry; the service from the bartender was absolutely atrocious. Never have I walked into a bar and not only been instantly judged and treated so rudely. Bartenders are meant to enlighten the overall atmosphere of the bar in the benefit of the customers, Ashley however makes me not only never want to support this local business but supply a tip which coming from someone who owns a business in the same industry is absurd. Who ever owns this establishment needs to rethink their hiring for positions that make or break their business. Worst overall bartender expirence I have ever been faced with it’s sad to see.
ADDITION TO MY OLD REVIEW IN REGARDS TO WHAT “SPORTS KEG” REPLIED
- this has nothing to do with the spilling of anything; in regards to that it is completely responsible to want payment in return IF there was postage of a sign on and or around the pool table for a fine if spilled and no drinks allowed on or near the table, must I add I had nothing to do with the incident; regardless the review I made was unbiased from that incident and was after 2 other weekends I was there. Each time I’ve shown up only with the bartender named Ashley was I met with only hostility when I’m paying your business for a beverage, I should be met with a smile or at the bare minimum regular service; never have I ever as I mentioned not tipped a bartender and at the end of the night I specifically wrote on the receipt to give my whole tip to the server as she was nothing but kind and accommodating regardless of what has happened. Incredibly unprofessional from the sports keg owners and management, if you want a more successful business I suggest first better understanding customer service, hope you get better bartenders and correct training so your business can further flourish.

I came into town for the first time and came to the keg with some coworkers, Taylor and Jess were so much fun and very attentive! They had customers laughing and can tell people come in just for them! I will for sure be back next time I’m in town!
