Cama Beach Cafe and Catering

This review actually encompasses several visits in a one month period. Several friends and I had their yummy scones multiple times. They are so good I bought a dozen frozen to take home! Service was always good but twice exceptional. Those two times were both by Marly. The first time is when a friend and I walked over (30 min beach walk) on Father's Day. We were unaware they were serving a brunch and having people enter a different way. We only wanted coffee and a scone and were about to walk away when Marly came walking over and asked if we had a question. I asked if we could get our order to go and she was great about it! She got our order in a very timely manner, was super cheerful and even put a happy face and cheery note on our to go bag. She made our day. Another time we walked over and were standing at the counter. Several wait staff passed by - we did observe they were busy - but the first time Marly came by she stopped and took our order. Her customer service can't be beat and makes me want to return! The only negative I have to say is when a friend and I came for a sit down meal and both ordered the quiche. It was not good. The consistency was "off" and the top was brown (as in overcooked). My friend commented that she thought they probably had frozen it and it was reheated. To be fair, we should have returned it but we were in a hurry. I didn't even both to eat all of mine. I would give them another try for an egg breakfast but not the quiche unless I see an order go by that looks fresh!

After waiting an eternity to have our order taken, the orange juice was most certainly from concentrate, and there is no way on earth there were three eggs in that meal. Incredibly underwhelming and disappointing

Friendliest staff ever! Spectacular View over the water, big stone fireplace to keep you cozy in chilly weather and I hope you're lucky enough to be there on a day they're serving their clam chowder! It is incredible. Also, chef's kiss to the focaccia

The cafe is open for brunch Fri -Sun. The food quality was a great surprise. We had the eggs benedict and potato soup. They offer beer and wine. They also have hand made baked goods such as pies, scones, etc. Our waitress Cindy was warm and welcoming. If this place was closer it would be my go to as the prices were fair and the atmosphere casual and inviting.

This place was certainly a miss today. It started with the waitress forgetting about taking our order for nearly 45 mins. The food was off on this day; bacon overly cooked, eggs dry, potatoes had no flavor or peppers/onions and my sangria.. well, I'm not sure what it was, definitely not a sangria. We do like this place, so hopefully, this was just a one-off, although this has happened previously.

What a truly delightful surprise to find this little gem. Delicious food. FABULOUS staff. And a bakery with incredible yumminess like homemade English muffins and ready to bake fruit pies! Oh, and the biggest mug of herbal tea I've ever been served in a restaurant!

On top of all that, a beautiful view of the water looking toward whidbey island.

Oh my gosh. If you have a chance to come over to Cama Beach Cafe, it's fantastic.
Only open 3 days a week now but offering holiday events also. Food is terrific, and the staff is wonderful. They get busy sometimes, so pack some patience, but overall wonderful experience. The Cama Beach State Park is a beautiful park plan to take a nice walk around before or after!
