Average food and atmosphere for way too high a cost. We had 3 people for lunch with no cocktals for nearly 100-. I would have happily paid that for exceptional food, service or atmosphere but it was none of the above.

Food was good. Service was a little overly enthusiastic, but super attentive. Love the atmosphere of 4th Street

Went here for a prom dinner and had a fantastic experience!Gage was our server and he was Amazing!! He was super engaging, asked us lots of questions, and made the night feel really special! He was very apologetic when one of our dishes came out a little late and made everything right. We all seriously loved the guy, can't understate how great he was. The atmosphere was super great for a large group! The food was so good. I got the Mesa Bowl with carnitas and it was the most juicy flavorful Carnitas I think I have ever had. The (virgin) Strawberry Basil Margherita was also delicious but the real winner was the (virgin) mojito, their lime flavor was really fresh and cut really well into the drink. The homemade chips, salsa, and guacamole were also unusually delicious for such a simple dish! We finished the night off with some desserts. The chocolate flan was pretty good and was a great light choice for after a filling dinner, the red velvet cheesecake was delicious but nothing beat the skillet cookie. It just melted in your mouth and was covered in ice cream that made it so perfect. It was an amazing night with amazing food! Thank you Nuestra Mesa!Vegetarian options: Lots of options for veggies dishes!

The food here is always good, but they do get busy, so plan ahead and expect to wait.

Went there this evening. Got seated immediately. Server by the name of Josh came over. He was very professional and polite. He knew the menu well. Our food was not great. I got the chile relleno. It was so salty I couldn't eat it. There were different parts that were saltier than the others. My friend's dish had so much grease he drained it into an empty ramekin. From the looks of the pics there's different chefs. Hide the salt from the one who worked tonight!Blackberry Margarita- delish and good portion of alcohol.Guac-perfectionSalsa that came with the chips- delish.Chips- okay. Kinda like pita chips. We'll be back to give it a second chance solely because our server was great.

We shared the rockfish ceviche and the chicken fajitas, plus chips and salsa to get us started. Everything was so good! At the end, the waiter even brought us multiple appropriate containers for our leftovers! New place for us to bring visitors!Dietary restrictions: Delicious gf homemade corn tortillas and chips

Mesa is our go-to spot for amazing cocktails and their unbeatable carne en su jugo. We can't seem to get enough of that dish! The service is always friendly and super fast, especially if you snag a seat at the bar. We highly recommend Mesa for anyone looking for a delicious and fun dining experience. You won't be disappointed!

Callen (I think was his name) was our server and he was very attentive and timely. The prices are very, very good for the quality of food you're getting. Good margaritas too. We plan to return.

Cerviche was good, portion is a hefty one. I wish the gave more of the chips that came with the cerviche instead of the regular chipsBurrito was ok, thr pork tinga wasn't anything to rave about. Maybe Carne asada would have been better

How does this place have any stars? Honestly, probably a top 3 worst if not the worst food and service experience of my life.Food was bland and extremely tasteless.Prices were insanely overpriced for the quantity and quality of what you got. And the fajita tortillas were tiny. Like less than kids size. Smallest I've ever had at a restaurant. Our daughters kids burrito had a giant red chili pepper hidden in it????? After we had to wait forever to get our foodThe server was absolutely clueless and awful. Took forever to take our order, then the food took literally an hour, and was tasteless. To her credit apologized and acknowledged how long it was taking, offered to cover an extra item - we politely declined. I just wanted slightly better service, but once food arrived, disappeared again. Didnt ask us how the food was or check in to see if we needed anything. I was ready to bite the bullet and yet all we got were "thanks for being patient" mumbled to us once and no check ins. Trying to stomach the awful fajitas, the waitress finally comes over to ask (food is starting to get cold now). Ask for hot sauce to try to stomach the food. She disappears again for 20 minutes! Can't make this up. Now the food is stone cold. We are ready to leave. She's still nowhere to be seen. Have to ask hostess for check. Leave the rest of the very bad, 75$ (with no drinks!), bland meal. Many others were seated and served in the meantime while we experienced this over 2.5-3 hours.I'm usually really relaxed. I stayed relaxed and composed the entire time (and honestly did towards her, I know its not all her fault, and have worked in service). But by the end i was extremely frustrated overall - was just repeated poor service and worse food as the night unfolded.Do not go to this place unless you want to feel disappointed. Place for people to go slam a few margaritas and pay for overpriced, bland food and worse service. Will never recommend or go back.

Our experience here was unfortunate. We are generally very understanding people when restaurants are busy and do not leave negative reviews lightly. We wanted to try something new, but the 4.3 star reviews do not hold up. The restaurant was extremely busy, and while it didn't take too long to get seated for a party of 3 (ca. 30 min.), the experience went downhill from there. Our server brought us waters 15 min. After we were seated. After this it took around 30 min. For her to come back to take our order. We ordered appetizer and 3 entrees ( one was a kids burrito) all at the same time. It was an hour before our food arrived. The food was terrible. Our 4 year olds burrito had burnt chicken and an actual hot pepper in it, which she found after biting into. The steak/chicken fajitas we ordered had no seasoning. At all. When we finally were able to flag down our server, my partner requested some salsa or hot sauce, it never arrived. At this point the food was cold, we had no desire to finish the meal and I requested the check from the hostess because our server was no where to be seen. The check was brought by the hostess, not our server.Tldr: food was terrible, service was terrible. Not worth it.

Excellent food, phenomenal service, reasonable prices. Great place to go! The only downside was it was too noisy for me. Went on a busy Friday night, so that's why the noise. Looks like the business is thriving.

Margaritas are delicious and so is the food.

Wow, was this delicious! The place was packed for an early dinner on a Wednesday, so that tells you something. I had a spicy mango margarita and a pollo burrito bowl. I wouldn't have called the margarita spicy, but I sure appreciated that it wasn't too sweet. The bowl was excellent. Although the ingredients were exactly what you'd expect, the quality was very good, and each element was individually seasoned, so you didn't have to grab a bit of everything for the perfect bite. It was all delicious. Their salsa is a bit smoky with a nice kind clean and plenty of garlic. Staff stays very busy in this bustling spot, but they take care of each customer. Fair warning, this is a family-friendly spot with nice cocktails, so there will likely be plenty of little ones running between tight spaces, but it's all in good fun.
