I went with my 10 year old son for the wizarding Afternoon tea and we had a blast! We were so full by the end. Everything was delicious and the staff really took great care of us even with a huge group at the same seating time. The whole experience was amazing!
British comfort food is just the beginning. An outstanding selection of teas and treats.
Nicely decorated and family operated.

It is so quaint!!! Not only is it so cute in there, they have such yummy pastries, incredible service and the bessssttt food! We went for lunch and got 2 jacket potatos and tea. It was all so flavorful and delicious, booked a reservation for afternoon tea in December and can't wait for that!
If you are looking for a true British tea experience I'd highly recommend!

They turn away customers a half hour before they need to shut down for fancy rich people parties. A full half hour. Even if all you want is to grab a scone...To Go. If you cant even sell a scone a full half hour before an event...then close a full half hour before. The pastry case looked barren anyway, so perhaps they just shut down every time they have an event? Seems like a horrible business practice to turn people away, with so much time BEFORE an event. Losing money! Losing customers. Not even an apology from them. Nothing. Seems like a snooty place, where you need diamond earrings to be let in. Not sure if i will give a second chance. Plus there is little to no parking! Expensive and snooty. Edit, reponse to owner: I was turned away a full half hour before the event. I had never felt more unwelcome upon entering. They didnt say one kind word.

Wonderful atmosphere, delish tea and treats and friendly service ♥️ Go visit this Great place!
Fun atmosphere, good food, a whole case of pastries, and they give you an entire pot of tea in an adorable little koozie. Or an entire French press of coffee, if that's more your speed. Place only got five stars because I couldn't give them six.

British Bites is hands-down one of the most delightful and unique spots in all of Lewis County. Tucked away in Centralia, this cozy bistro brings a bit of Britain to Washington—and we’re so lucky to have it here. Lori, the incredible owner, is the heart and soul of British Bites. Every dish and pastry she creates is made with genuine care and love, and you can taste it in every bite. Whether it’s afternoon tea, a classic sausage roll, a warm scone with clotted cream, or her unforgettable Coronation Chicken (my personal favorite—so much so that I’m proudly known here as the Coronation Chicken Girl), you’ll always leave feeling nourished, happy, and appreciated. Her staff is exceptional, knowledgeable, and swift. The special events she coordinates are unmatched and so different from anything I’ve seen since I moved here in 2024. In the winter, she creates a blend of Christmas tea that genuinely made it feel like Christmas morning in a cup. What makes British Bites truly special is how welcoming it is. Lori remembers her customers—not just our orders, but our names, stories, and orders. That kind of warmth is rare here in Lewis County, and it’s part of what makes this place feel like home (even though I’m not British—I desperately want to be, though). British Bites is more than just a bistro—it’s a community treasure. If you haven’t been yet, go. Go for the food, stay for the charm, and leave knowing you’ve found something truly special right here in Centralia.
