McMenamins New Tourist Bar

Fun place as most McMenamins are. We stopped here as a half way point on a return trip home. Wait staff was friendly and the atmosphere has the old world bar feel with the added funky weird McMenamins random cool art in weird places. If you like McMenamins, this is definitely a place to check out.

I arrived in town early in the morning and needed to wait on Amtrak. It was nice to find a McMenamin's, and I was happy that it was open at 7am for coffee and breakfast. Really nice lady for breakfast service!

Kid-friendliness: Not QUITE as good as other spots in town. but still lots for the kiddos- kids menu, coloring sheets, usually kid friendly staff (and some that go out of their way).

Only downside is a few no kid bar zones, a fireplace that is not toddler friendly, back patio that is hit and miss (smoking and animals and train adjacent). Remember: it was a speak easy and a place of I'll repute. Was not designed with kids in mind but they've made the most of it.

We got seated next to the men's bathroom that STUNK to high heaven. Wasn't waited on for 20 min. and finally moved. Apparently our waitress left. Sat for another 40 min. Finally got a server. Then happy hour was ending because of course it was. Ordered. They were out of the food we wanted. Our new waiter was great and apologized, but not a great experience.

We love this place, we're pretty regular. Kids or even better without kids. Burgers, sandwiches, tots, salads, pizzas, it's all great food. Great selection of beer, mixed drinks & wine! The place looks pretty cool inside & overall puts off a pretty good vibe. Check out the woman's bathroom, that's a trip. All wait staff are super friendly and are honest about the food so ask them whats good right now. The theater is pretty cool with chairs & couches & you can order food & eat while checking out a popular movie, some old, some new.

Parking: It's a one way street, McMenamins is on right. Pass it, there's right turns with parking lots scattered around the train tracks alleyway.
