I stayed here because it was 5 minutes from where I was working for two days and because I live near the McMenimans Anderson School and have been to several of the restaurants and bars there several times.

The hotel is definitely a historic building. Definitely cool but also creaky and everything that comes with an old building. I thought the communal bathroom would bother me but it was not an issue. Several near my room. Room had no TV which I didn’t think...
Just here for an historical lecture on Lewis County, and for that the big theater room was enjoyable. A variety of well loved sofas and seating you could bring your food to. Lots more spaces to explore — pool tables, shuffleboard etc. Did consider the bartender at the front bar not as friendly as could be shall we say but all other staff were accomodating.
Everything was great until the breakfast. Got coffee, no milk or sugar. Had to go get it. Both items we wanted, fruit bowl and chicken fried steak where out of stock. Changed order and when it arrived, the waiter left us with no silver wear, we went and found some. Ordered a water and hot sauce..had to go get it after about 5 minutes of waiting as waiter had completely forgotten. The actual meal I got was the biscuits and gravy....quite forgettable at best. Non of this was due...
