We were a party of 4 who had lunch on 5/28/2026. We always go to Fonda Oaxaquena whenever we get to come to Chelan. we are from Edmonds Wa. The staff was welcoming and provided great service as always. We can't wait to come back for dinner before we leave.
When our margaritas were brought to the table I mistakenly assumed the place would just be okay. Oversized margaritas in goblets are a good sign of mediocrity. The food though, was delicious. Not the chips or salsa, but our entrees. My banana leaf wrapped tamales Oaxaquena with pork mole were tremendous. The soft pillowy masa managed to hold a generous amount of pork en mole. Just delicious. My companion hard chicken enchiladas mole, which he loved but felt more of the delicious...

The food is phenomenal:) The staff is super friendly and polite. I had the Pollo Asado Chipotle and it was super delicious! Also their margaritas are bomb!
