Been away from home on the road for about 3 weeks now and this has been the enjoyable breakfast experience yet. Took forever to eat the perfect omelet because I was too busy singing to the awesome playlist.

Two stars because I really want them to succeed. This is the definition of greasy spoon. Breakfast: mushroom /cheese omelette, hash browns & English muffin. Potatoes burned cold grease. Omelette canned rubber mushrooms and American cheese. At least the muffin was toasted. Partner's breakfast was not served the was it was requested. Coffee was underwhelming. Out the door was $52.00 for a $20 breakfast and even if it were free I wouldn't order it. Very busy with locals, so maybe they will survive feeding people who have lost their taste buds.

I'm guessing this restaurant suffers from the same staffing trouble the restaurant industry is facing. Workers who actually come to work seem overly busy especially during main eating hours. As such the service was acceptable, I just felt bad for the workers because you could read it on their faces that they're "drinking from a firehose."The meals we ordered were marginal, but nothing that stood out.

This place used to be great. Stop this morning and we both ordered sausage and biscuits. We received 1 biscuit cut in half with cold aausage gravy. The other biscuit was whole w no gravy. Sunny side up eggs looked like they were have cooked, lots of "snot". Asked the waitress if that is how they do their Sunny side up, didn't know because she only eats hard eggs. Asked if I wanted new ones, I declined because who knows what would be on a re-order. While paying, we saw another order of biscuits and gravy. Both biscuits cut in half and smothered w gravy. Asked the waitress, she stayed that how ours should have been. Mind you, she brought our plate to us. Instead of offering a discount or apology, she stated she would "note that". Terrible, just terrible.Talked with owner, he refunded me half of my order.

With it being pie day tomorrow I wanted to stop in and grab a few pies to take home. Unfortunately they were sold out of any cherry, and only had a few individual slices of chocolate cream available. The waitress was kind, and quick. Even checking the back fridges for any extras. I ended up getting a whole tollhouse pie. It's delicious. It does have pecans in it- different from other cookie like pies. Whole pies are $35, but you can return the pie pan for a small refund. Their pies never disappoint!

Great little cafe. We visited here while staying in port Ludlow-large portions, good service-people are so friendly in this area. Love it.
We enjoyed our old school Diner experience while traveling through.

It's painful to write this since Chimacum Cafe used to be the place to go. First off, the waitstaff (Shelly) were amazing and went out of their way to take care of us, but sadly the food "Grossly" missed the mark, one meal was inedible even after being sent back to the kitchen. Its obvious the back of the house needs a deep, deep, cleaning hope they turn it around.
