Basalt Cellars is a standout experience — not just for Clarkston, but for the entire region. The moment you step into the tasting room, you can feel the care and craftsmanship that goes into every bottle. The space is refined yet comfortable, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly balances Northwest charm and winery elegance.
The wines here are exceptional. Each varietal has real depth and character — from the smooth, balanced reds to the crisp, aromatic whites. The Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon in particular are outstanding, with bold structure and a clean finish that rivals top wineries from the west side. You can tell these wines are crafted with precision and pride.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they pour. They take time to explain tasting notes without any pretense, and it’s easy to lose track of time in conversation while sampling.
