Way too expensive for what you get!
Food was good. Large plates so go hungry. You can have breakfast all day. The staff is friendly and helpful. Must stop by and try.
Perfect pit stop for a brunch with the family!
We were a party of 8 including 4 small children. The staff was so friendly.
You can tell everything was made in house. I was particularly impressed by the chicken tenders and loved how they were served with tarter sauce. Everything served was large portion sizes. Got the country fried steak and hash browns, eggs, and toast - delicious!
We were so full, I wish I got some fresh pastries from the bakery. That'll be on our next trip.
Clean bathrooms, large parking lot. Easy to get off and on from the highway. Very much small town loving vibes.
2 weary grandparents and 4 hungry grandchildren stopped for supper on a Sunday afternoon. We were comfortably accommodated in a nice alcove. The food was plentiful and good. French fries were excellent! I would've liked a bit more crunch in my black and blue salad. My husband's Reuben sandwich was great. The kids weren't impressed with the children's menu, so ordered off the regular menu, and the total was $140 for 6 of us. Sure costs a lot to eat out when you don't want fast food! Maybe the Cottage could revamp the kids' menu?!
All in all, it was a very pleasant and much-needed break during a long drive.
Hit and miss. First time was great but second time was average. Sat by the fire exit both times and the door has gross stuff all over it so I sort of lost appetite. Patty melt was frozen patty. We got 10 slices of bacon and it was all way undercooked and not edible. Tots were undercooked also. Server was too busy to really help us. We probably won't go back.
Expensive but food is good
food had no flavor and was so loud inside, tall skinny guy was our server and was rude. I also asked for medium bacon and they refused to give me some cause they pre cook all the bacon before they openand the guy was a dick about it. never coming here again
Absolutely spectacular service! Big menu, comfortable setting, huge portions. Amazingly fast, too. Got greeted within seconds of stepping inside, and the food came really fast in spite of how big and busy the place is.
The omelette was overcooked and rubbery, but the filling and browns and toast were perfect. The roasted vegetables were from frozen, so watery with a weird texture, but still well-seasoned.
The atmosphere is "comfortable old diner" vibe, with retired one-armed bandits and tacky old wall art. This place is wonderful.

Amazing meal here yesterday, the breakfast chicken fried steak.
The chicken fried steak was one of the best I have eaten since moving up from down south, mouthwatering and stunning flavor.
Hash browns were perfect, crispy and golden.
Eggs were perfectly cooked to my order.
Even the rye toast was amazing.
The server was helpful and engaging, making sure were we had everything we needed.
I will definitely be returning again on my way through!

Still as good as I remember. They may not have the taco omelette or biscuits and gravy on their menu but if you ask for it they'll make it for you. I definitely will come back whenever I'm in that area.

Sat in the fireside lounge so we could watch the football games and get some breakfast. The food was fabulous as always and although they were busy, the service was fast and friendly.

Oh yes. So me and Lil' ReRe got into this spot! ReRe is an old friend of mine. She's actually relatively young but I mean old as in I've knowd her for many moons! We didn't sit down because we were fixin' to stomp up a mountain in BEAUTIFUL WASHINGTON STATE! The wonderful waitress gave us black coffee and a BIG cinnamon roll! With butter. If you don't eat butter you get sick. I truly believe that. If I meet a baby oh you know I'm feeding that child butter to get em strong! Thank you thank you thank you! We love Cottage Cafe and Fireside Lounge!!!!
