It's like stepping into the 90s and it's amazing. It's cozy, clean and has plenty of parking with a gravel lot for trucks and RVs in the back. The serving sizes are very generous. Bring your appetite. I had the meal of and it was fantastic, hubby got the turkey dinner and loved that as well. We didn't get to try any pies but overheard the folks at the table next to us talking about the chocolate creme pie they purchased the day before and it sounded fabulous...
Lot of folks wax poetic over the chicken fried steak. I am not one of those. It was just a hamburger patty with some seasoning breaded and fried. I would rather have one of the frozen ones. I was expecting an actual tenderized steak, breaded and fried. The rest of the meal was stellar the service was great and atmosphere what you'd expect from a road-side dinner.
I love this place! The best diner food I’ve ever had. And the kindest, friendliest servers. In a diner right out of the 70’s. So authentic!! We will be stopping in every single time we can. We even diverted from a different highway to come here.
