We live in cle elum and eat occasionally at Teelak however tonight’s dinner was barely edible. I don’t know what has happened in the kitchen but we will not be back. Hate to have to share our bad experience.

Great food, good beer and pleasant service. Generous servings. Actually some of the best tasting ethnic food served in the area.
If I could give this place “zero” star rating I would. Future customers, be aware that the price you will pay is 30% more than it shows on their menu. PLUS they automatically charge 20% tip for the group of four. And when you sign the check you actually do not have a list of items you’re paying for, it shows total amount.
The food was served cold and it was way too spicy. My husband ordered food with spice level 2, and he LOVES spicy food (he can eat jalapeños as a snack), but even for him the food was too spicy.
This part of review is for the owner…Hospitality business is all about customer service and integrity, and you have no idea about any of that stuff. You are overcharging your customers, you squeezed so many tables into the tiny space, people could hardly move around. Your attitude was unwelcoming, and it took forever to get our food. Shame on you! It was a total waste of time and money!

An amazing little authentic restaurant with class, fast and accurate heat explained because of menus aren't finished yet so owner takes time to each table to say that his #1 heat/spice level is a regular Thai restaurant #2 heat level. Sooooo if ur wanting really hot a #3 will do the job! Excellent service. Very quaint and special atmosphere. You can tell the owner and wife are hard at work to improve and becoming the best Thai restaurant you will ever experience. So far I give it my highest rating because of value of food, amazing flavors and perfect pairing. Peanut sauce was the best I've ever had as well.
I recommend especially if ur traveling and want a healthy satisfying meal. I cheers and hope the best for this new restaurant!

We had dinner here last night. The food was fair. The staff at this restaurant seems very unprofessional. They were playing loud rock music. The first thing that happened was when the order came out one of the dishes were wrong. They said it was written correctly, but the kitchen made a mistake. They corrected that and brought out the correct food. While we are eating, we were visited by two large mastiff dogs. Myself owning three restaurants for 41 years, I would never imagine having dogs in a restaurant dining room roaming freely. When we received the bill on a hand payment system it only showed the total. After I signed and gave a 20% tip, the receipt came out itemized. I ripped it off, and the guy grabbed it from me and said that receipt was for his records and he would print me another copy. The second copy again only had a total I was a bit confused on the total. It seemed high, but considering, we were buying another couple their dinner I did not want to make a big deal of it. When I got home, I looked at the prices and realized that it was $25-$30 higher than it should’ve been. I read other reviews which sent me to their Website. The website states parties of four “ May” Get charged a 20% service fee. I have seen this for parties of six or more, but never on four. They did not say anything on the bill or the receipt that it was already charged. I went back this afternoon to look at a menu and did find that it was on the bottom of the menu in fine print. I do believe it should’ve been mentioned on the bill and we should’ve received an itemized bill. Even on parties of six or more work, we have been charged this. It states on the receipt that you have been charged 20% but you may leave more if you feel like you would want to. Ultimately they received over a 40% tip. This is very dishonest. We are in the area for two weeks and most likely we would’ve gone a few more times while we were here. I do not recommend this establishment to anybody. I am usually pretty easy pleased. I understand how hard the Restaurant business is. If they allow dogs roaming. Throughout the restaurant, I can only imagine what the back of the house may be like.

Just passing through, craving Thai food, so no attachment here. Maybe they treat you differently if you are a local, but I have to say it was weird. The place was cute but empty, on a September Thursday night. It took awhile to have our order taken, but the woman serving was very nice. My friend and I were trying to keep it light, traveling on a budget. We shared an appetizer and an entree, and she got a small bottle of sparkling water. The food was fine - it's Thai food which I find generally wonderful. Then the bill came, just a total. For a $12 order of 2 spring rolls, and a $16 bowl of curry, and a water, it somehow added up to $47. There was no itemization. When I asked, it was waved away -- oh, there's an extra charge for rice when you order curry. What? we weren't given an option on that, but even so - who doesn't consider rice as part of the curry entree? How much was that 8 oz of water anyway? The man did not want to discuss it. We paid the bill and left. I would probably eat there again but watch closely on the charges.

Terrible service! I understand that they are busy but the guy that we believe is the owner was one of the most rudest we've ever encountered. No smile throughout, and when my wife asked for the receipt, he gave her a handwritten paper with illegible scribbling and told her to "take a picture of this because this is the only receipt I have." Then after reviewing the receipt the best we could, we were all shocked to see that a single cup of rice was $4.50, instead of what was printed in the menus at $2.50. When our friend questioned him about the difference, he responded that "the menu is not updated pricing, you should have referred to the online menu."
We're not unfamiliar with using online menus and QR codes, but when we are handed menus, and given no disclaimers that pricing is completely different from what we're presented, that's really irritating, and dishonest!
As if that wasn't bad enough, we mentioned that it we had known, we wouldn't have gotten the extra two or three cups, to which he responded, "well, you ate it, didn't you?"
This was one of the rudest encounters I've experienced, and for just a few extra dollars to tarnish yourself and establishment with dishonesty and absolute disrespect.
Of course both of our families will never go back here, which is unfortunate, but at least there was a silver lining.
We were able to talk with our children as we were leaving and explain that sometimes even adults can act without grace and kindness, even though it's a choice to be made.

The food was sadly just not good. Worst drunken noodles/pad thai me and my friends have ever had, the sauce was really light in color. The drunken noodles were thinner than I would have expected. Service was pretty slow, we had to ask twice to get water. I would not recommend this place for folks who like thai food

Even the 1 star food is spicy, so be careful. Everything my family of 7 ordered was delicious. Staff were professional and courteous. Definitely the best Thai food in WA!
