Cute vendor type market inside with homemade goods. Fun activities outside for the whole family
Nice atmosphere, lots of cats
No Pumpkin Donuts in Fall. Rude Servers.
Don't order food if you have anything else to do that day. I've been waiting for 2 breakfast burritos for 40 minutes.
I could have gone home and made them myself.
Love this place! 😊
Lovely! There is a coffee shop with treats, a very large gift shop with a wide variety of items. Outside there were bins of picked pumpkins, including some small decorative ones. They have a booth set up to make pumpkin donuts, but no one was running the fryer, so that was a bummer. They have a very cute area with hay bales, corn stalks and pumpkins where you could take selfies. In the back are chickens, goats, cows and pigs to look at.
Pumpkin donuts without the 1 hour wait! So maybe we got lucky, I'll never know. We have been in the area for 8 years and never braved the crowds at Green Bluff, but we decided today was the day. We stopped at two big harvest festival venues but didn't want to wait in line. We figured maybe we will just have to go to the grocery store and warm up some of their pumpkin donuts... but then we saw this cute place on our way home but no signs for pumpkin donuts. Oh well, we thought, but there, just around back, were 4 adorable blonde kiddos, and a super smart 4th grader that explained the cash price, how to pay by card inside, and how much change I'd get back. SOLD!!!! We bought 2 bags and were not disappointed! Thank you to those wonderful little kiddos (and their adults)!!!
Been coming here for years however this morning was a very different experience. The gal running the kitchen was so rude and constantly kept giving me and my daughter dirty looks as soon as we walked into the shop. Almost like we were being instantly profiled as we are a proud Mexican American family. I simply asked if the kitchen was open as we wanted to order a bunch of drinks and goodies, but she very rudely responded “huh” I am not sure what you mean?” with the worst attitude and face gestures as if she didn’t understand the question, she proceeded to laugh at us and so we just walked away. I am American, I was born and raised here, I speak very clear English. There should have been zero confusion in the question. Very disappointed, as I brought my whole family to enjoy the day here but because of this interaction we all felt unsafe and immediately left and participated in festivities at Sunset Orchard which was a blast!! Much kinder and more knowledgeable people over there. I don’t recommend High Country Orchard anymore nor will we ever be back.
Go to Sunset Orchard and spend your hard earned money there, where people are welcoming and kind.
Do better!!!!!!!!! Be better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Horrible baked goods imo. I am a home baker and the cookies did not mix the sugar well they were very gritty. The sourdough bread had a very awful after taste and the pumpkin donuts were very oily. For the price you pay you would expect better quality.
Large selection of apples and pumpkins. Kittens hanging around all over the place. Friendly employees.
