This restaurant, the staff, the menu, and the owners are all cooler than an Eskimos backyard. The fresh ingredients, creativity and love for the culinary arts make for far superior dining experience. Oh, did I mention the bar upstairs with outdoor seating and a veil of the cove...

Artful food. Rose at the bar is the best. A MUST visit. The island is lucky to have this gem.

The reason for service 4 star, you walk up to place the order, and it is delivered to you. Not the worst, but employees are friendly.
We have been back a few times, great pizza. Bit of a drive from Mount Vernon, but a quick getaway for some great gourmet style pizza. Reading some of the comments on Burnt pizza, Yes they should watch that, with the open fire oven. Be sure to order not burnt, Lighter crust!

This adorable spot offers both outdoor and indoor seating. The staff was incredibly friendly and we were seated promptly. We ordered a bottle of wine and a pizza to share, which was delicious. They have a great selection of vegetarian options. I highly recommend this place!

I was in Coupeville on personal business and decided to have lunch at Goldie’s and the Roost. I love pizza and hadn’t sampled any from Goldie’s yet.

The first thing I noticed was all the families enjoying the outside tables. The children were playing ring toss with rope rings and their parents were enjoying the weather and sipping beverages while watching their children enjoy themselves .

Then I walked inside Goldie’s and enjoyed the simple decor. There were two large tables sitting side-by-side and a few smaller tables along the edges of the area.

Upstairs is The Roost and is a 21+ area. I didn’t have much time to explore so I didn’t venture upstairs.

I looked over their menu and chose the Pepperoni pizza for my lunch and decided to have a glass of Pear cider to go with it. It’s been forever since I had a pizza with just pepperoni and I really enjoyed this one. The crust was done nicely, it wasn’t drowning in sauce but there was enough to enjoy the flavor. The pepperoni was crisp and had a nice taste.

If I have a chance to go back and enjoy a longer stay I will have to explore The Roost and see what that is about.

Goldie’s & The Roost are fantastic and the casual, yet extremely delicious and high-quality food the island needs! The menu is full of fresh veggie-forward dishes, as well as classic pasta and pizza options and well-executed cocktails & a solid wine list. The vibe in The Roost has the right ambiance to kick back & enjoy without the intense energy of children… 😬 the chicken wings were next level— a definite! Don’t miss Goldie’s!

A pleasant surprise! Delicious pizza with interesting flavor combinations. Nice outdoor seating area. Perhaps on the pricier side, but worth it in my opinion. Try the hot honey!

If you find yourself anywhere near Whidby, do yourself a favor and save some room in that stomach of yours for Goldie's and the Roost. Seddy, formerly of Delancey in Seattle, and his team are churning out a mix of absolutely delicious pies with chewy sourdough crust, inventive veggie sides (seriously, a dill and lime granita cucumber salad that was unlike anything I've ever had -- so refreshing), great beers, and warm hospitality.

The pizzas are reminiscent of old favorites back in BK - Paulie Gee's and Roberta's in Bushwick, which are the highest compliments. They are really building something special out in Coupeville. Def worth the drive and visit.

Fantastic spot. We dinned out in the beer garden patio with our pup. The curd (surprise veggie pizza) was delicious and creative. Would absolutely return again!
