We were recommended to Overboard by a local and it did not disappoint. The two ladies working were very friendly and accommodating. Everything we had was delicious and it’s such a charming space that we would definitely go again the next time we are in Coupeville. Keep up the great work everyone!

The drinks are, a little boozier than expected and the taste spent exactly explode, but i won’t complain about a healthy amount of liquor.The oysters small, but packs strong flavors and the farmers cheese and rhubarb was delicious.The muscles, the spotlight, it was absolutely delicious. The muscles has the softest texture, not a single feeling of rubbery as i have only really had throughout my life. The broth used was delicious in its shell stock and we used every bread to soak it up!The salmon was cooked well and was absolutely delicious.

A cocktail bar off the beaten path that you wouldn’t notice unless you were looking for it. The cocktails were delicious and the view from the table was unbeatable. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Whidbey Island!

Can’t wait to go back so I can try the food. Tonight was a brief meet-up with a friend. Perfectly magical views of our island, great drink and food menu, lovely staff. I enjoyed one of the NA cocktails which was absolutely delicious.

SUCH a special experience! By this we mean: clear bay view (while the sun is out), truly creative + (essential) mastery of food combinations. Truly some of the more inventive gastronomic + mixology tastes we’ve tried (and we’re old + well traveled so have tried a lot). We’re here off-season so hope for consumers’ sake it doesn’t get overcrowded, but if it does, it’s very much deserved on the part of these intrepid entrepreneurs.

I dislike giving less than 4 or 5 stars to small businesses, especially since the food we tried and cocktails we enjoyed did not disappoint. What did disappoint my husband and I were the lack of ambiance. After all, the walk down from street-level to Overboard's entrance already has a natural kind of drama and fun mysterious feel built in. However, we immediately found that there was no defined identity and vibe inside as both were devoid and underwhelming. We felt we were eating in a cafeteria with the bright lighting. There was no bar to highlight the remarkable cocktails being carefully crafted. Instead, you look into a dreary kitchen. The furniture are remnants from the old Knead & Feed that is fine for a restaurant, but not what could be the makings of a cool and dimly lit "Speakeasy". In addition, the music was loud (more like frat boy sounding music) and did not match the fantastic classic cocktails and sophisticated and well-made food. As soon as we finished our food and drinks, we didn't feel the need to order another and we didn't feel comfortable enough to want to linger because of this lack of ambiance and vibe. In my opinion, a simple dimming of the lights and more chill music playlist would be a good place to start. I would stop by again and give you another shot because you make ridiculously great cocktails and food! I'm no expert, but I see the makings of an extra special place with just a few tweaks.

WHAT A TREASURE! Best mussels on the island served up with brilliantly creative and delicious cocktails. Great service. Fantastic ambiance, too. Overboard is like being inside of a cozy, comfy little captains chest tucked just above the water, with stunning views of Penn Cove and the Cascade mountains in the distance. Romantic and cute, this is the perfect spot to enjoy with someone special. The folks who run Overboard are also fantastic people. So pleasant. We love that Overboard is a queer friendly space where everyone is welcomed and respected.

I heard rave reviews about this place and was anxious to try it. The menu was extremely limited. Only two people were working in the restaurant we asked for the cauliflower soup. It was absolutely horrible. It tasted like somebody filtered water with a little seasoning through a sieve, it was awful. The bread was good the drinks were OK, I want to support local businesses as much as possible, but this place needs a better menu, this place will not make it even the oysters that were broiled were raw in the middle not very good and you only got four small ones for 15 bucks I was expecting something a little more Charbroiled, which would've been phenomenal. They didn't even offer a regular salad which I would've preferred because not everybody likes kale unfortunately I won't be back.
