Spent my 3rd anniversary here and we had the best time! The staff were so welcoming and kind, super attentive.
The food was exactly what we had hoped for and more! The drink menu was very cute and creative and we appreciated the Chappell Roan reference. The cod and the pork belly were our favorites. The brussels sprouts were really well done and so flavorful. The maple creme brûlée was also great! I wish the oysters were served over ice or just a bit colder, but I do appreciate the presentation with the rocks. The mignonette was lovely!
We drove 90 minutes for this meal and we’ll happily do it again! Next time I would definitely do the chef‘s tasting menu:)

Definitely one of the top spots on Whidbey.

Very busy in the summertime, definitely make a reservation if it was sunny today. No wait, chill vibe, and freaking amazing food if you come in on a cloudy weekday evening.

Don’t miss recommendations- pistachio and
kiwi berry cheesecake with raspberry bombsauce was to die for.

Crispy Brussels (with pomegranate seeds and quac, what? So good!) grilled oysters, and captains shanty pictured.

I found this place after seeing the Google reviews, and just as the high ratings suggested, the food was sooooo delicious. I think I’ll keep thinking about the mushroom risotto I ate here. The grilled octopus was also delicious, and the sauce that came with it was a work of art. I ate outside, and the ocean was visible, and the weather wasn’t cold, so it was really beautiful. I’d like to go back again next time I visit this city.

Amazing umami from start to finish. What a gem in Coupeville! They were completely booked, but we figured we’d stop by and see if there was availability for 4. They had one table left and promptly seated us. We had the octopus, which was the most flavorful and perfectly cooked – crunchy char on the outside and tender on the inside. We also had the prawn and mushroom risotto – every bite was exquisite. The gnocchi had a spicy sausage cream that was just garlicky enough. The beet salad was perfectly balanced with a unique tasty beet that resembled tuna sashimi in appearance but tasted like a hearty beet. If you’re watching your sodium intake, however, the tamari seasoned brussels sprouts may not be your jam. The beignets, gluten free chocolate cake and chai tea ice cream were melt in your mouth delicious. Service was impeccable – friendly, timely and extremely attentive even with a fully packed restaurant.

Made an Anniversary reservation and all we got was a Happy Anniversary from the host, good start but that was the end of the exuberance. Oysters were viscous and lacking accoutrements, octopus was overcooked and left my mouth dry and the saving grace was the scallop risotto. We were then rushed out for the burn and turn.

Wonderful date night experience! We sipped a tasty cocktail in a lovely courtyard during our short wait for a walk-in table. The service was friendly and attentive from beginning to end. Everything we ordered was delicious, different, and well-executed. And enjoying some nice weather and a beautiful sunset from the patio dining was the cherry on top. We will definitely go back any time we’re on Whidbey!
