I hired Serendipity Catering for my wedding and I'm so glad I did! Everyone was blown away by the food (especially the cake - it was a show stopper) and the team brought all of the positive, kind energy. Connor made the planning process painless and patiently answered all of my MANY questions.

I can't overstate how much we enjoyed working with Connor leading up to our wedding and then how blown away we were on the actual day! Connor patiently helped us identify our dream family style dinner party menu, communicated efficiently through the whole process, and checked in on us day-of. He was above and beyond the easiest part of our wedding planning journey.

Our guests, most of who either work in restaurants or own them, are still talking about the food. The service was impeccable - present but also understated. It was like food kept appearing out of nowhere! The gals working our wedding checked in on us, made sure I ate, and in general were lovely people.

Lastly - the cost to value was a pleasant surprise in the deep sea of wedding expenses. No price gouging here and honestly Connor - charge more! We would choose Serendipity over and over again.

We cannot praise serendipity enough! We used them to cater our wedding and they did an amazing job. Everyone raved about the food all night. The entire experience with Connor and his team was so easy and probably one of the more relaxing parts of wedding planning. He helped us curate an awesome menu using seasonal and local produce which was super important to us. We’re still dreaming about the orzo salad!

Karen and I recently had Serendipity cater our event. From beginning to end it was an absolute pleasure to work with Conner and all the staff. The food, appetizers, drinks were so delicious and the guests couldn't stop talking about the food and friendly staff! Conner provided many good suggestions for the event meal preparation. I will say probably the best crab cakes ever! They made our celebration so nice and easy. Thank you for making our wedding a special success! Clean up was a snap!

One of our top three priorities for our wedding was photography, design and the food. Food can make or break an event and just wow, Serendipity blew us away! The food was unbelievable and we heard from so many guests it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding!It was a joy working with Connor leading up to our special day, he was quick to respond, frequently updating the menu for us and was very transparent on the cost of everything. The service day of was phenomenal! Staff were kind, professional and warm. From appetizers to the family-style dinner to dessert, I can’t say enough good stuff about them all.We will 100% be working with Serendipity again in the future for any catering needs. You can count on a reliable vendor serving delicious farm-to-table food for a reasonable price. Thank you, Connor & Serendipity crew! We could not recommend this catering business more!They were so attentive and took direction very well. Connor was awesome at making sure everything was perfect! Planning a wedding without a wedding planner was stressful but he made it so much easier. The food was so amazing and we only heard positive feedback about it! Crab cakes, mussels, mac n cheese, beef and chicken all to die for! Connor was also able to arrange a wedding-style cheesecake which was super hard to find on the island! Serendipity catered our anniversary party. Everyone raved about the food and the catering staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They were absolutely great!!

We used Serendipity for an engagement party and the event was perfect! Coming from out of town, the team made everything incredibly easy. The food was so delicious that guests asked for recipes after. Would absolutely recommend them for an at home catering event or any other event.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Serendipity Catering and their food and service. We ordered a few main entrees for our Xmas party and the food was terrific. I heard nothing but praise about the chicken, beef, and mashed potatoes dishes prepared by Serendipity Catering.They also loaned us the Chafing dishes and were thoughtful to also provide the fuel, water, and an igniter.Communication with them was excellent and always received a quick response .I am happy to have such a quality catering service nearby and will definitely be calling them for any future events.

An absolutely beautiful meal was provided by Serendipity for the wedding rehearsal dinner we hosted at our rental on Whidbey Island. We were able to order our dinner items and have them delivered at just the right time they were needed. Very helpful staff delivered the food into the house and then organized it, putting the dressings on the salads etc, in order to get the food “serve-ready”. The meal was amazing: so delicious and large portions!!!! The guests loved everything. I would DEFINITELY use this company again. Our contact, Natalie was extremely helpful throughout the whole menu selection process, answering my numerous questions about various menu options on a timely basis and providing guidance where needed. Serendipity was also able to accommodate various food allergies, which was very much appreciated. The online process used by Serendipity for payment and confirmation of menu items etc was also very easy to use and worked so well.

Serendipity catered both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception, and both were phenomenal! The food is fantastic and they offer such great variety to choose from-- definitely way above your "standard" wedding food. As many of our guests were from out of state, we loved being able to provide a locally sourced, PNW menu. And so many guests commented on not just the taste, but the presentation as well (Hello, cheese board!) My friends are still raving about the buttermilk mashed potatoes! Natalie was super sweet, professional, and communicative throughout the process, which ended up being rather long thanks to COVID. Absolutely recommend!!

We used Serendipity for a baby shower.First the appetizers: the spicy pickled shrimp was the best thing that I have eaten in along time. Perfectly cooked, perfectly prepared.The main: we had so many but I loved the chicken with chutney, the Beachers mac n cheese, roasted carrots, and green beans. ?? EVERYTHING was so delicious!!

My husband and I had the most amazing experience with Serendipity. Natalie (co-owner) was simply amazing to work with and was incredibly helpful, communicative, and detail oriented throughout the whole wedding planning process!! Serendipity was one of the highly recommended caterers for our wedding venue (The Wayfarer Whidbey Island Weddings) and it was so wonderful knowing our venue owner had a fantastic working relationship with Serendipity. Our wedding day turned out perfectly in every way and the food was a big part of the magic of our day. Everything was so delicious and beautifully arranged and I so appreciated the kindness and skill of the whole staff. We got so many compliments on the food and our guests seemed to truly enjoy the whole cocktail hour and dinner experience. Everything went seamlessly and we had the most enjoyable and relaxing wedding dinner imaginable. I’m so endlessly grateful for getting to work with the whole Serendipity team - it was a fantastic experience and we highly recommend them to anyone getting married on Whidbey Island!

Natalie and Serendipity Catering catered our wedding at the Whidbey Island Wayfarer on 7/23/21. Natalie was a dream to work with. She not only rescheduled our date after a covid postponement in 2020 and put us at ease, but also was able to accommodate our guests with some last minute vegetarian and vegan options (that were actually filling and delicious!). Our guests loved the local PNW cuisine, and Natalie and her staff were incredible and attentive. The thai mussels, salmon, short ribs, carrots, and beecher's mac and cheese were crowd favorites. The best part was that Natalie packaged my husband and I two dinners to go at the end of the night in case we didn't get a chance to eat throughout the day (we made sure to eat because the food was amazing!) - but we ended up eating one to-go meal late at night and the other on the ferry the next day. It was one of our favorite moments of our wedding weekend :)

We used Serendipity Catering for our recent private party and we could not be more pleased. Throughout the evening I heard guests commenting on how delicious the food was and their delight at the honeycomb tucked into the appetizer fruit and cheese board, the handsome presentation, how perfectly roasted the carrots were, the salmon cooked just right, the lavender shortbread was to die for. It felt really good to have our guests so happy with the food. Natalie is a joy to work with; ultimate professional, but also an artist. I can’t say enough good things about how she runs her business. We will definitely use them again.
