100% parent fail and we didn't realize the bakery closed so early. It's our daughter's 3rd birthday and she has been talking about the cookie monster cake she saw in the deli for weeks. Dad went to get it and the bakery was closed. DEVASTATED. Called this Safeway and they said COME IN and they would do what they could to help. The manager got the cookie monster cake out if the closed bakery for us!!! Seriously, I could cry. SO impressed with the customer service we received. Thank you!!!!!

The produce is sub par. I was looking for good russet potatoes and couldn't find anything that wasn't about to rot. I looked at the small bags and picked one up to check it out and it was so rotten that it was mushy. It wasn't the only one either. Disappointing.

this bakery is the WORST so sad because most are so great in Safeway my cake came open and the female working REFUSED to give me a piece of tape to hold the box shut. I'm guessing because she speaks no English I should have left when I originally ordered when she didn't know what carrot cake was!! I would give this store zero rating EXCEPT the meat department guys are great. Starbucks gave me tape and the cashier was so friendly. just STAY AWAY FROM THEIR BAKERY FOR CUSTOM CAKES.

The hours at the door say open until 1am. We show up at 12:30 tonight (Saturday night) in Covington Wa and the employee tells us that they are closed. There were 3 other customers that were turned away at the door, as well, when we were pulling away.

Always takes 15-20 minutes to check out, whether in the express lane or not, on a Tuesday night or a Saturday morning. I will drive 10 minutes out of the way to go to MV, so I don't have to wait in line for an extra 20 minutes.
