Heather Meadows Café is a perfect mountain pit stop, serving up the best cheese sandwiches on the mountain—gooey, satisfying, and exactly what you crave after hours on the trail. It’s an excellent spot to relax, refuel, and soak in the alpine atmosphere after a long hike. Whether you’re warming up inside or enjoying the fresh mountain air outside, the vibe is welcoming and unhurried. It’s also a great place to swing by before heading down the mountain, making it both a reward and a send-off. A must-stop for hikers and mountain-goers alike!

Great picnic lunch! Plenty of food and good quality. People who say it is overpriced are just not savy to current conditions.
I DO wish there were an elevator though. My partner had to stay in the car while I fetched the food. We would come much more often and we would spend a LOT more money if the place were accessible.

Awesome place. Great view. Food was very tasty. They have a cat - it made my day because I dearly miss mine. They also had souvenirs.

Nice view from the restaurant, unbeatable location, music was very loud. Food tastes average but overpriced. Better pack your own lunch to visit Mt Baker.

Although the staff were very friendly and helpful and the view spectacular, the food was terribly overpriced and the quality was really bad too. For two sandwiches (no sides) and two blueberry lemonades it was around 56USD. Sorry but I think that’s ridiculous. You are also asked to tip but you have to collect the food yourself, they don’t serve tables. The bread was stale and wasn’t a great meal at all. We won’t be back

If you need reasons to pack a picnic, this restaurant will give you plenty. There are no elevators (no notice either). Have the elderly with you, and good luck getting to a table. One of the cashiers is extremely rude and raised his voice because I speak with an accent. To be fair to other employees, they were mostly indifferent. The food is bland and terribly overpriced for the portion sizes. Not sure if the resident cat is vaccinated, but folks were petting it before handling the silver and napkins.

Love that there’s guacamole in the spicy chicken burger. The burgers and fries were premade and kept warm, so I got my food right away.

Offerings were of decent quality but a tad overpriced. Cozy area with a panoramic view. There are supposedly eight cats wandering around the lodge but I only spotted one. And I didn’t take it too personally but it just seemed so apathetic about me trying to pet it. Here I am trying to give it nice scritches and it just keeps ambling along. What caused to lead such a nonchalant life? Later I saw it napping on someone else’s sweater knowing full well I could see it from across the lodge ?

Parking: Some spots nearby, but the main lot is a minute walk up the road.
