“This cozy haven doesn't just serve coffee and treats; it offers an experience, a moment of bliss, tucked away in the scenic embrace of Glacier. A visit here is a ritual, a celebration of the finer things in life, shared with smiles and the warm, inviting aroma of the best coffee and pastries you’ll ever have the pleasure of savoring.”
“Just had the Bison Burger. It was excellent. The miso soup is really good too. I can't wait to go back and try this again either a special trip or on the way down from the mountain. Looking to try the pork belly burger and some of the other menu items. I encourage you to try this place out because there are a lot of good choices.”
“Offerings were of decent quality but a tad overpriced. Cozy area with a panoramic view. There are supposedly eight cats wandering around the lodge but I only spotted one. And I didn’t take it too personally but it just seemed so apathetic about me trying to pet it. Here I am trying to give it nice scritches and it just keeps ambling along. What caused to lead such a nonchalant life? Later I saw it napping on someone else’s sweater knowing full well I could see it from across the lodge ?”
“Stopped here on a hot afternoon after hiking. Yum! Sweet ice cream stand with a good variety of flavors. I got the waffle cone with Huckleberry and Strawberry ice cream. ?”
“I stopped in here for a quick warm up after riding at Mt. Baker and ended up staying for 3 hours! Not only are the staff super friendly, but so are the locals who frequent this pub. Dining solo, I took a seat at the bar and within 15 minutes I had 10 new best friends. Great company, fabulous pizza and a flight of beer - what more do you need?! I’ll definitely be back!”
“Grant's will get a FIVE when they return to the original onion rings. The menus says "thick sliced sweet onion". It's ground onion mush... no real onion.”
“Came in after a bluebird day boarding on Mount Baker. Great atmosphere - great food & drink and staff were super friendly! Will be back next time I'm in town.”
“I hardly get out to this area, but from now on when I do, THIS place will be my go to! Unfortunately I didn't grab any photos but the burgers were great and cooked perfect! Great selection of cold brews too!”
“The hamburgers are very tasty and fall apart in your mouth good. The diner is in an old building that ,yes, has a very tall smokestack outside. The wait staff is also excellent and attentive.”
“Valley Taphouse is the absolute best! The atmosphere is super mellow and the owners and patrons are super friendly! I would highly recommend! Tons of games to play and a great beer garden!”
“Small town coffee shop. Good coffee, pleasant service. The baristas are attentive and care that you get the drink you want, just how you like it.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible.”

“THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS AWSOME!!!Parking: EasyWheelchair accessibility: We have taken our son there since he was 5 and is now 28yrs old. Lots of space for his power chair and he loves the food.”
“We had an amazing brunch today at the Fork. Service was impeccable; friendly and knowledgeable. Every bite of food was delicious. Even the drinks were outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!”
“We have gone there a few times. The guys who work there are awesome. It seems like they have some regulars but it was not busy any of the times we went so the service was very quick. The food was delicious.”
“Went there for Valentine's Day with my wife which has become something of a tradition. Had a great table where we could watch the steaks being cooked. As usual the service was excellent and the food is still some of the best in Whatcom County. Always a pleasure to go there and I highly recommend this place.”
“Starvin' Sam's #15 is now Kendall Grocery, but Hot Stuff remains and is the best take and bake this side of Sumas Mountain.Parking: Lot is dedicated to the building, ample parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat ground from the parking lot all the way through the store to the counter.”
“The staff was so kind and the coffee / breakfast croissant were so good! We stopped on our way to Artist Point and tried to stop again on our way back through but sadly they were closed for the day. Definitely will be back!!”
“I got coffee for myself and my coworkers on my way in to work last week. I took a sip of my white chocolate americano and could not BELIEVE how amazing it was. I spent the rest of the day telling everyone how amazing it was. I will be stopping here whenever I get the chance from now on!It was also only $22 for 5 drinks, including a breve, and drinks with multiple extra shots because it was free flavor Friday, an absolute STEAL!I’m already looking forward to getting another white chocolate americano tomorrow morning!”
“We usually love this place. Service is top notch, timing is perfect.Tonight (9/19/23), however, was extra most baddest. The food was overcooked, the order was incorrect, and they even put my stuff in the wrong bay of the pizza portal.I reiterate, this is usually a fantastic place. They just had a bad night.”
“A must try place I Whatcom county. Great American breakfast, county fried steak eggs. Mexican burritos and Texas style fajitas. Italian and Asian food! Great price huge portions.”
“If your ever in the north county, dont miss this spot. Great food n cocktails, great staff and comfy atmosphere. In the summer, they have a great outdoor seating area.”
“The pizza is good friendly staff .I order take out & it's practically across the street from where my grand kids stay so it's very convenient. I recommend this ”
“The gal who made my sandwich knew a thing or two about sandwiches. It was perfect and delicious. She was very helpful. They need to make an air freshener that smells like their freshly baked bread. Mmmm mmmm.”
“Hi I'm an employe here at this Subway. I've read the reviews and noticed that they mostly complain about the inconsistent changes in sandwiches, slowness of the service, and overall attitude of the workers. I would like to say that I do wish they had more than 2 ppl working here, and my coworkers' attitude is entirely their own. Our meats and veggies are never served passed their expiration date, because that's literally against the rules. I'm sorry if anyone had a bad time here and hopefully things will be better.”
“Randomly walked in on our way to Snowater, was not expecting the vibe of the place but definitely enjoyed ourselves. We all enjoyed our food and would come back again.Kid-friendliness: While you could bring you kids, it doesn’t really fit the vibe of the place. I would not recommend bringing picky eaters.”
