Normally don't give 5 stars as usually something keeps me from it! From the start of checking in to the time we left it was great! A little on the noisy side but but all was great I judge a lot on getting water refilled as if I have to ask points are lost but never happened.

We waited 35 minutes until our server took our food order! She ignored us all dinner and didn't check in with us to see how our food was or if we needed anything else. For the amount of money spent, we expected much better. The food itself was delicious and well made. Not sure we'll come back.

I haven't been here for many years, so I was looking forward to an excellent meal for my Mom's birthday. I I'm a light eater. Waitress made recommendation that I agreed to, but brought me something else. I had a green salad and she offered huckleberries and hazelnuts. But I got some chopped Romaine with 1 1/2 cherry tomatoes and croutons. Then I got charged for a shrimp salad ($12). My husband said his rice pilaf was crunchy (dried out?) and the shrimp were tiny. My Mom lives at assisted living so anything would have been better than what she's been getting at the home. The wine was excellent, and so was the beer.

As usual, Anthony's Homeport Des Moines provided excellent service and great food. It is one of our favorites entertaining out of town guests, as well as for our personal dining.

Highly recommend this spot. We flew in from out of town and I just googled seafood near me and it pulled this location up. The food was outstanding, the clam chowder was so delicious. The service was perfect. Wish we lived closer as this would be a restaurant we would go often.

My Friends and I dined for the Early Bird Dinners since we don't drive in the dark hours anymore. This was the first time I ordered the Lingcod dinner which was absolutely delicious and perfect. I have never seen this fish offered at any other seafood restaurant and it was delightful. We frequent Anthony's for lunch and dinner for many special occasions and are always pleased with the wait staff and ambience. Highly recommend for wonderful fresh seafood.
We decided to try some of the new menu items. The black cod was excellent and did not disappoint. The service was excellent and Anthony's has become our favorite seafood restaurants.

Reference the food: Everyone in our party commented that their dishes were excellent; however, the Salmon Fettuccine which I ordered was abnormally watery (as opposed to the creamier sauce I have gotten there over many years). A truly minor ding, but I know Anthony's Homeport strives for pure excellence—thus the critique. By any other measure, my dish was excellent. Everyone we encountered was polite, attentive (while not being intrusive), and genuinely friendly! Already looking forward to our next visit. Z.D.
