I love there pizza best I've had north west so far so much cheese and meat I asked they definitely delivered it to me very beautiful place thanks u Guys
As a rule, I don't go to establishments that change spelling to drive home the alliteration, but I'm glad my friend forced me to go here. Excellent sandwiches in big portions, and great drinks. Wonderful place for lunch.
Amazing pizza, love the quirky atmosphere. Dana was so nice. What a great accidental find--that we will return to!
Dana K's is our go to here in Des Moines. We can always count on great food made with love. Everything we've had is delicious! I always tell everyone about this hidden Jem!
Love this funky little out of the way place, sandwiches are absolutely delicious 💕
Great sandwiches. I had the mafia baller it was fantastic
Great pizza, super cheesy!
It was great to meet you tonight! My pizza was Great and the cookies are amazing! I look forward to many future visits!
Really big great sandwiches for a pretty good price. I'm impressed that Dana has been able to run the place by herself. It could be a little cleaner, but it makes for a nice old diner.
try the piggy pig pizza it is amazing! Great food and friendly owner. She also has cookies to die for!

Dana K's sandwiches are MASTERWORKS of the genre. High-quality ingredients are thoughtfully combined into hefty portions that are just as good the next day out of my refrigerator as they are the moment they're made. On top of that, the prices are, frankly, incredibly low for delicious sandwiches in this area. On my most recent visit, I tried the Turkey Lurkey- it's essentially a fully Thanksgiving dinner paired with brie on a dinner roll, served with a cup of gravy au jus. I'm still daydreaming about it days later.
St Patrick's Day dinner- holy cow. Beautiful corned beef, perfectly cooked and seasoned cabbage and carrots, delicious pesto “green†pasta, tasty potatoes, fresh Irish style biscuits, and a bonus of Irish stew! Tasted the love of home cooking that I remember from when mom made this type of dinner many years ago. And the deserts... oh dear sooo good.
Despite good reviews, was very disappointed in my experience today. The place wasn't well kept or clean and the coffee was practically just warm milk. When the pizzas came out they were overly burned and there was hair in one of them! One of the pizzas was not what we ordered, so we asked if there was any bacon in it (as we cannot eat pork for religious reasons) and the server very rudely made it apparent that she was aware of our religious affiliation and said there was not. Overall, I felt very unwelcome and I unfortunately cannot recommend this cafe to anyone else. For $40, you can get much better pizza and coffee elsewhere.
I've only ever been to one other place that makes sandwiches this incredible (Grinders in Shoreline). Definitely not what I would call fast food but well worth the wait. Limited menu and hours. The chef is a true artist! This place is a hole in the wall of the first order. I will be back (regularly).
Dana K's is wonderful! I love coming here for the cookies and sandwiches everything is so tasty and very generously sized. Great atmosphere and really good coffee too! An awesome place to chill in Des Moines.
