Just Poke Des Moines

I was there earlier today getting a poke bowl for my fiance. She loves Just Poke and has been to many of the locations up north. We have never had an experience as disappointing as today. We should've known something was wrong when we started to order and the meat was slimier than normal, was off color, and had an overall weird shein to it. Since we have had so many good experiences at other just pokes we figured that all was well. When we were ordering the toppings, we asked for avacado, and the knife was being stored in the most disgusting bucket of water I have seen. It had all sorts of chunks of stuff floating about. The cucumbers in the cucumber bucket also looked slimely, blotchy and off color, but since we have had such good experiences in the past at other just pokes we decided to carry on.

We sit down, she eats a bit, it is so disgusting she can't eat more than a forth of it. She tells me that the avacado specifically has gone bad, so i go an talk to someone behind the counter. I explain the situation and how I would like a refund. The lady behind the counter goes and speaks to a manager, and then comea back and tells me that they can remake it, but they cannot offer a refund. We refused the bowl being remade since the next bowl would be made of the same ingredients and my fiance is starting to feel unwell at this point.

We leave upset with no other choice to do a partial dispute of the transaction of the bowl. It sucks so hard that the quality of this store is nowhere close as good as the stores up north, truly a disappointing experience.

The Pike Place and the Seared Salmon are TO DIE FOR. Absolutely delicious. Def worth the price, healthy, delicious, environment is clean and respectful atmosphere

When my party arrived we were advised the white rice would be done in about 15 min. 20 min the lady says it's ready and we create 4 bowls costing $70. I didn't mind waiting at all but when we got home all the rice was crunchy, so crunchy. One of my guest started choking. We have been eating at just poke since the start in WA it has aways been amazing until today.

The rice at this place is hit or miss, but miss more times than not. I mean i don't get it. It's a pot that cooks it automatically so I don't understand how they can mess up on the rice. Bought a bowl and a few spam misubis and the rice was undercooked. 😒

Cute little store, everything is so nice and new. The poke was delicious and reasonably priced. They have a TON of protein, sauce and mix-in options. Their portions are very generous too and plenty of parking out front.

I’ve been craving Poke for the last week and I thought this place looked really good, plus the reviews were really great… But unfortunately I definitely won’t be coming back. There was no flavoring at all, sauce was bland, and the fish was not good at all and did not taste fresh. I’ve been feeling sick ever since I had some of it. Unfortunately I had to give both of the bowls to my dogs but they didn’t want them either. Definitely not worth the price.
