Amazing takoyaki!!! 🐙 Also the sushi is the best I've had, even better than Seattle & Bellevue. This place is a gem and worth every penny..❤️🙏
Stopped by for my 1st time here. Says on the door and online that this time is open hours. It’s closed. Huge disappointment. Been wanting to try this place since I moved to Des Moines in 2020.

I've been searching for delicious sushi for 4 years... this is it! Excellent flavor, texture, and presentation! They serve very few other things so the focus on sushi really has paid off! You can even customize rolls based on what you like. Excellent miso soup and tempura. And the matcha tirimisu is better than nearly any other dessert I've ever eaten.
Parking: The location is perfect on your way home on your commute.

First time to eat here but definitely won’t be the last. This place is a little gem in this itty bitty town square that I’ve driven past multiple times before but never thought to try because I’m more inclined to try fancier sushi places. My sister who lives walking distance recommended this place so I gave it a try. The server was hospitable and kind. Great service! Not a lot of sushi roll options and no other entrees which is great for me, I wasn’t overwhelmed with what to order. The miso soup was flavorful, almost a little too salty but I’d rather have that than bland miso. I can just add water lol. Love that they didn’t skimp on the tofu and seaweed. Server was prompt in refilling the comforting hot green tea for us. The takoyaki was ok, calamari was so good, light and crispy and soft on the inside. Everything else that we ordered like gyoza, kaihana roll, dragon roll and rainbow roll was good, but I loved the deluxe sashimi platter. The 16 pieces of fish were not small and they were fresh, and came with miso soup and a bowl of rice. Good for the price! Overall, the food was good and what you’d expect from a regular sushi place, but I want to come back soon for the sashimi and because of the great service. I also forgot to try the tiramisu matcha so I’m looking forward to next time!

DINE IN IS OPEN! They are OPEN BACK UP! Quality of the food is amazing. Ordered the Firecracker and the quality and texture was very delicious. Presentation as well was top tier. Coming from 30-40 minute drive south and this place puts other sushi places to shame. The owner and staff are extremely friendly. They make sure you are well taken care of and give really good recommendations that meets your taste buds.

Fresh fish! It was my first time and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t try the rolls though. The only down side was the Tamago which was watery and the unagi was a bit tough. Still, I am going to be visiting often for the quality of the seafood.

Over priced sushi in my opinion. However, Westcoast and Dragon was good. Better to eat at Trappers for the price. Spent almost 50.00 for 2 sushi rolls, appetizer and water.

We come here regularly and are always happy with our meal. The matcha tiramisu is divine! It is a pleasure to be remembered and greeted warmly by the beautiful owner and the awesome sushi chef as well! The atmosphere is friendly and casual, but if you want privacy or upscale decor then this is not your spot. Overall, I highly recommend!
