New Tokyo Teriyaki

This is our new favorite teriyaki place. Customer service is always on point and the good is good! We have always done take-out, so this review is for that. Thank you for being here in Des Moines. It's nice having something close by!

I mean wow. Just wow. I ordered the spicy chicken breast and broccoli plate that comes with onions and carrots sautéed in. Can I just say how picky I am when it comes to Asian food or any food in general. My adopted mother is Chinese and cooked us original asian dishes our entire childhood she was an amazing cook. Anything she put her hands on came out like a 5 star Michelin restraint. Authentic too. I can't see her or speak to her anymore. When I smelled this dish the memories came flooding back. and then I dug in.... The seasoning is beyond anything I've had in teriyaki shops before. . The composition was beautiful. The taste brought me back to my childhood. Its been along time since I've tasted something this amazing. I will say I was blown away by this plate. I'd give it another star if I could.

First time in for food last night. The young lady at the counter was so friendly and chatty. The food came out quick and hot. When I got home it was still so hot I couldn't eat it (good thing I hate cold chicken). The sweet & sour chicken was the best along with the gyoza. I would highly recommend the food here. Thank you for the awesome service and the good food!!!

This is the worst teriyaki chicken in Washington I ever ate. The chicken was so dry, and the place smelled like old people Homes. The customer service was so terrible. Just be careful
