We had a great experience, had fish and chips, the fish was good but believe they can do better, my friend had salad. Was fresh and tasty. The pies are everything. Must have

Hadn't been here in a very long time. Three of us came late morning for breakfast. Overall it was a good neighborhood breakfast experience. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Place appeared clean although I would say the windows could use a cleaning; I noticed the outside windows but not so sure if the inside windows needed cleaning. We had three different breakfast entrees; chicken fried steak, griddle combo, and eggs Benedict. All were tasty although the eggs Benedict wasn't hot when it came out. Several other tables were occupied when we arrived at about 1130 but by the time we left about 1245 most tables were occupied. There is ample easy parking in the lot including an extension of the lot to the south of the restaurant.

Parking: If the lot looks full in front of the restaurant there is additional parking to the south of the building

The steak and eggs were great. It was the Denny's / Sharis price, but the quality was significantly better.

I've been here twice and its shaping to be my fave place in Des Moines. Atmosphere is the right level of cozy and classy, good for variety of occasions. Food is solid, pie is definitely their best dish.

Stopped in for a whole pie to go, the kind of pie I wanted was sold out. Bummer. The owner was kind enough to offer to make me one that I could pick up the next day. Done deal! It was worth the wait. We appreciate the extra special customer service. Thank you so much, and see you in a couple of weeks for another great pie!

Dietary restrictions: Sugar free pies

Parking: Huge chocolate chip cookies. Outstanding as well

We were given water and coffee and they never came back to take our order. We finally got up and left.

We had a great dinner here. The food was really well prepared and everything tasted very tasty. The steak was on point and the seasonal vegetables were really crunchy. Tomato soup, garlic bread, everything is homemade here👌 We can only recommend this restaurant.

I was recommended to try the Pistachio Salad and Penne Rigata w/marinara; I was not disappointed as both were delicious. The staff provided such quality service.

Food was mediocre. I won't return. This place has sadly gone downhill.

In all our years we've been coming to this Restaurant I only had one bad waitress, the food is extremely delicious, very good, they catered my wedding. People are friendly, food home made. Very delightful place

Ordered the BLT sandwich. Awful. One slice of tomato only. Also ordered the French Dip, that too was awful. Will not order again from here
