Hadn't been here in a very long time. Three of us came late morning for breakfast. Overall it was a good neighborhood breakfast experience. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Place appeared clean although I would say the windows could use a cleaning; I noticed the outside windows but not so sure if the inside windows needed cleaning. We had three different breakfast entrees; chicken fried steak, griddle combo, and eggs Benedict. All were tasty although the eggs Benedict...

I've been here twice and its shaping to be my fave place in Des Moines. Atmosphere is the right level of cozy and classy, good for variety of occasions. Food is solid, pie is definitely their best dish.
