Busy bakery but great choices. We ordered the chicken sausage croissant & a bear paw. Both were ok but could've been much better had we heated them. (We didn't because we were saving them for later). The sausage was like a hot dog & was not as good as my husband expected, the bear paw wasn't bad. We did feel very rushed because there was a line up but standing in line awaiting our turn we were unable to see the actual items for sale until we were helped....
Absolutely fantastic!!! First, the service is great. We stopped in on our first day on Orcas looking for lunch, ideally sandwiches. That’s not what this place does, but the staff were super helpful in providing tips for lunch, as well as our visit. We then came back every morning for coffee and breakfast/treats. Everything they baked was outstanding. We loved it. This place is a must on the island. Excellent service and baked goods.
Brown Bear is always my 1st stop when I come stay in Eastsound, Orcas Island. It sets the tone for my stay because of its warm, cozy, friendly vibe and delicious pastries, quiche, and desserts!
